Looking at the weather forecast tomorrow is lousy, so have decided not to bother with Duxford. I still may try for photo or 2 of PS Waverley and keep my feet dry too hopefully.

I was hoping to catch PS Waverley going through Tower Bridge today, sadly the weather stopped me going at all.

It was a fantastic end to the season, glad you like the photos Charlie and thanks for putting a name to the Tate lorry Andy, vintage cars and lorries are not my forte to be honest.
Having been to South Mimms services, I can fully understand why they would be in the firing line 🙂
I would recommend to anyone to visit HMS Belfast and the Churchill war room(AKA The Cabinet of war rooms), HMS Belfast will always hold something special for me due to my grandad serving beside her on HMS Urchin providing support for the JUNO beach landings for D-day. He was a very quiet man in terms of his war record and my hero in so many ways.

I have always thought of it as flying and sex are safe until you take risks.,however it’s true to say that risks add to the fun.
Fantastic clip which has sent my mind back to shows of old. Memories I have that I wish I had on film, such as these.
1) Biggin Hill Concorde with Spitfires MH434 and ML417
2) Blenheim and 2 Mosquitos at Biggin Hill
3) Flying Legends at Duxford with Tigercat with 2 Bearcat’s
4) Ray Hanna valley dives at Biggin Hill
5) The Brietling Fighters
6) Seeing Buccaneers and Lightnings fly in the 1980’s
I’m sure there are many more too, all in all I am glad I was born in the 70’s and started going to airshows in the 80’s and 90’s, having said that now still provides magic like the Eagle squadron Etc. It’s just a shame the action is a little more distant now at many venues, I personally love Old Warden and Shoreham and miss Biggin Hill and Mildenhall the most.
There is no doubting that lycra has taken over the roads since Bradley Wiggins and co made riding bikes trendy again.

Thanks Jim for the kind comments, it was certainly interesting to photograph and really a great atmosphere from the crowd too.
