Its kind of amusing how people worry about something that even was true none of us could escape it.
I am of the opinion that if you live everyday as if it were your last, oneday you will be right, and if the world ends it does not belong to me anyway 😀

You could Wonder if the Mayan calendar was an early guide to the worlds economy as the economic world sure looks like its coming to some sort of end at the moment, or you could see it that the Mayan calendar had to stop somewhere and its how we read these things.

Seriously though a few people need a reality check as the end of the world is either not nigh or not worth worrying about.

Good luck to them, but in reality I am not bothered either way.
It would be amusing if they had twins or triplets, just to see how it would work out in terms of who would be heir to the throne. Other than that I guess its a good news story in a time where good news is less and less.

Maybe the Spitfire has just flown out of view 😀
Seriously though its the irony of the Hurricane that even at airshows its called a Spitfire by some, I see it as the Hurricane did a lot of the work but was and is forever overshadowed by its prettier sister which became an icon.

Its not a warbird until retired, Its very much still a weapon of war in its current guise.
As HP111 says the Israelis could use almost any aircraft to carry out these attacks.

This is exactly the scheme I would go for, It includes every nation so no bias.
I remember a diecast model of this being available some years ago too.

    TAKEN FROM ITV WEBSITE

Dozens of celebrities ‘frightened by Savile investigation’
Dozens of big name stars from the 1960s and 70s have contacted PR guru Max Clifford “frightened to death” they will become implicated in the widening Jimmy Savile child abuse scandal, he claimed on London’s LBC radio. “ I am hoping that the real predators are the ones we are going to find out about – the Glitters of this world, the Saviles of this world, not people that were randy young pop stars in the 1960s, 70s and 80s even, that had women throwing themselves at them everywhere they went, because that is a whole different area and a whole different situation]

    TAKEN FROM ITV WEBSITE

Do you think Max Clifford is right here in regards to young pop stars of 60s to the 80s that had women throwing themselves at them, I can see his point but I feel uneasy with it,as underage is underage and wrong is wrong.

BUT looking at my music collection I can imagine many stars and bands that could end up being, dragged into this case. Many of the bands/stars would of been just late teens early 20s at the height of their careers, so certainly not “dirty old men” so to speak, its possible they would of been very near the age of the girls they went with.
I just wondered what others think and feel on what Max Clifford has said and whether or not they should be brought to justice if anything is found out in the investigation?.

As to compensation due to any claims of abuse made, I can not see how any such thing will be workable. lawyers are smelling huge profit for themselves here already, its sad.
Im hoping that somehow after the investigation is over and justice served on those living who commited abuse, then a line can be drawn under the whole sad affair. Compensation will not bring back what the Saviles of this world took away and sadly as its so long ago now it would be impossible to verify any claim to compensation fairly.
Maybe the fairest thing would be a fund that offers support to all those abused in form of counceling etc, and something that does not fill lawyers pockets.

Looks like Primeministers Question time today lit a huge rocket in the middle of Westminister.

I think its the start of something rather huge and nasty.

He may have looked lost for answers sometime, but who would not? Two hours of grilling and grandstanding from MPs with a personal agenda.I repeat, he was placed in an impossible position.

Whilst many have enjoyed the spectacle of the ‘arrogant BBC finally getting taken down a peg or two’ I saw a good guy getting mugged. In the circumstances, I think he put up a pretty coherent defence.

I think its fair to say both the press and the Government have an agenda here and the MPs certainly pushed questions that seemed of not that related to the issue in hand, yes grandstanding for sure. I also think both the BBC and the government would be very happy to bury the whole situation with Savile as this is very much a timebomb for all of the organisations involved.

For me this should never be about bringing the BBC down, thats not justice of any sorts.

For me the story is much bigger than just Jimmy Savile, and many people have questions that need answering and a full open investigation is essential.
I do have some sympathy for George Entwistle who very much looked like a deer in the headlights yesterday in front of the MPs. He looked like somebody who has been pushed forward without the full brief of what is going on, I am not sure who or what will bring the BBC out of this other than a full open investigation with actions carried out on the findings. Its sad that the BBC a trusted icon of Britain is in this mess and I feel sad that for all my childhood life

I also think the Government is pushing the BBC into the front and ignoring the fact that Edwina Currie gave Savile the keys to Broadmoor and let him have a room there, this is not just Jimmy Savile and the BBC who have done wrong so lets wait and see what happens next. I just hope it will not be a witch hunt but a proper full investigation, I am mindful that the Government have a interest in the BBC looking bad as it conviently buries the problems they have.
