Nice photos, When are they due to have an “holiday” at Duxford?. As to R6915, I strongly feel other than doing what is required to preserve her for future generations she should be left as she is. Same with the BF110 and Zero I would rather see them as they are that way they are truely historic. All to often we sanitise history lately rather than conserve it.

As this was a story from last year can we assume that whatever it was came to zero? Now theres a thought a Mitsubishi A6M Zero, well I can dream.

As to Sean Penn, he can go and do one as far as I am concerned,He is putting his name to a cause he probably does not even understand.Its kind of funny how actors and singers are always paraded like sacred cows for whatever cause there is, normally with the briefest of knowledge on the subject.

This whole Falkland thing is a a smokescreen for the Argentinian governement who has serious issues at home, so its kick the “Old Enemy” the UK and stir up a bit of nationalism. Its just the people on the Falkands I feel for being pawns in another game again.

I have so many fond memories of Ray and Mark flying and have to say that such magic is something I feel honoured that I saw.
Ray closing a Biggin Hill airshow with last post playing and his little trips into ther Valley were pure delight,excitement and emotion all rolled into one and safe too. The first time a saw the F-86 display was with mark at the helm and his Hunter displays still stick firmly in my mind.

I have found myself going to airshows more for photography opportunities now, rather than the spectacle. I still like airshows and still enjoy them, but nobody really provides the same spectacle as a Hanna at one with his aircraft.

Around the time of the Biggin Hill air show, and the weekend the first blenheim crashed at Denham. We were meant to get a three ship flypast but the B35 went technical

I was very fortunate to have seen the two Mosquitos with the Blenhiem, I can not remember what day of the Biggin airshow it was or if infact it was before the show(Friday?) but we lived locally and the trio flew straight over the house. I was a very excited 13 year old and if happened now I would be the same boy for sure 😀 .

Sadly as with many such memories like this came way before I had access to a camera that would of been good enough to catch the moment. I just pray that will see a Mossie fly again before I am too old.

always thaught they were terrificly over hyped when the likes of jethro tull , floyd , cat stevens and the stones etc were around but if i had to pick 3 it would be back in the ussr , hey jude and norwegian wood !!

For me The Rolling stones, The Who and most of all The Kinks were better musically, But The Beatles caught the moment somehow, the first real boyband I guess.

Its difficult to choose a favourite with a band that turned out so many good songs in a realitively short period, but for me theres 3 that I really love above all the others.

Two of the tracks are because I have a bit of a soft spot for George Harrison’s music, and always felt his talent never quiet shone through in a way it could of.
