I’ve just driven through South Croydon past a swarm of the thieving scroats looting Richer Sounds. There was a procession of them marching up Croham Road with teles, speakers etc on their shoulders.

On every corner there was a kid on a bike speaking on their mobile. This is being stage-managed and it’s got nothing to do with anyone getting shot in Tottenham.

This all well organised which makes it sicker. I honestly can not come to terms with whats happened tonight

My home town too – what point does anyone think they’re making by destroying Reeves’ shop ? I could weep.

Sympathies to everyone affected by this destruction,wherever they are.

My town is being destroyed as we speak, building of over 100 years old burning down 😡

The thing is at the moment with the Olympics coming next year everybody in the world is looking at London, This also means that everybody and their wife knows even the smallest things will be picked up by the international media.
Its still a shock the destruction caused in Tottenham and something like that can not be allowed to happen elsewhere. The only way I can see the Police taking control is zero tolerance and protection of property at all costs. Water cannons work effectively in other countries so why not use them here?. I totally agree with freedom of speech and right to protest, but nobody has the right to destroy others property or to make parts of London a no go area.

Hit the thugs hard now, or lose control forever I fear.

I maybe getting dramatic here but are the police really just sitting by?, or is it they do not have the resourses to take on such situations anymore?.
Either way I really fear for the future and the possibility that this will escalate.

I have to totally agree with you there Kev, The cutbacks to the police and generally the way the law is in this country lately. Nobody fears the law and its well known fact that even if sent to prison you will only serve part of a sentence and then be free. We have bred an underclass of thugs with no moral values.

I know there is a general feeling of discontent in the country with all the economic problems etc, but this is no reason to do such a thing, How many bussinesses were put out of service last night?, How many people have lost their jobs?, how many people lost their homes? a heart knocked out of an already deprived area and possibly even lives lost.

Lots of towns and cities could explode like this at anytime and any point, and its clear the police can not handle such situations now and community cut backs mean that people are more isolated than ever before from their community and the police. So the future does not look good does it.

Am I the only one to think that this had very little to do the with the alleged scum bag the Police shot, and more to do with mindless thuggery?.
Sadly this seems to be the shape of things to come really, I do not know the area well but from what I can see a few very nice old buildings may of been destroyed.
