The pilot says that the passengers must lighten their load. so the three presidents decide to drop one item

George Washington drops a quarter

Abe Lincoln drops a penny

George Bush drops a grenade

When the presidents land, they find someone holding their head and cursing.

George Washington asks the man what’s wrong.

“i was walking down the street when a quarter falls from the sky and hits my head!”

So the presidents continue down the road and find someone hopping on one foot, holding the other, cursing. Abe Lincoln asks “What happened?”

“i was standing on my porch barefoot when a penny falls from the sky and hits it!”

The presidents continue once more and find a young boy laughing hysterically.

George Bush asks “What’s so funny?”

The boy replies “i farted and my house exploded!!!”

To be honest this story is really amusing, This logo has been out since 2007 and since then we have all been looking at it thinking well it might be 2012 or it might be a kids art homework. Meanwhile in Iran the goverment has spend the same amount of time thinking why they should be offended by it.

It amazes me that a regime that treats its people so badly has even time for such a thing and if they can see Zion in this sign they are doing better than us seeing 2012 in it.

Interestingly in Iran its year 1389 which add up to 21 which is offensive as it looks like a swan and a stiff snake together :D.

Back on to the subject I think.
I personally have no issue with Love Thy Neighbour and think like much humour then it is off its time/era. The world has changed and racism is far less now than was then.
To an extent comedy then was trying to break moulds and sometimes failed as in “Curry and Chips” with Spike Milligan which really for me just didnt work.

I love old comedy and collect it, But you do need to remember it is in many ways a time capsule for the decade it was in, and some ages better than others.Its certainly not worth being offended by lines writen 30 or 40 years ago.

I pray this wind farm project does not happen, Duxford is a place of pilgrimage for me every year and somewhere special in the UK.
We lost airshows at Biggin Hill now and many other great place, Lets not lose the jewel in the crown of warbird shows too.

As far as I am concerned EVERY empire has plundered and exploited the countries it ruled over and EVERY empire has left scars on the society it left behind afterwards.
Yes some good things came from all empires too, but its a fact that so did some awful things happened and the after effects are still being felt.

As part of our multi-cultural society we now have wasters/ scroungers of all nationalities here including home grown ones, BUT we also have hard workers of all nationalities as well as home grown ones.

As a result of nationalization…remember BL as an example of the former and all the cancellation of commercially viable programs (V1000, Rotodyne, etc) of the latter?

But as we saw in the car and aero industry, nationalism didn’t work either.

I had not thought of it that way but yes you are right both Privatisation and Nationalism has failed through our history and even now we are paying the price of that.

It maybe a case that we never have the right management structures in place to get such things done and also that the unions and managers can never agree so both pull the structure apart. Either way we can always be proud of the fact we can make a success in to a failure at the drop of a hat :D.

The problem being now is we do not have the scale of industry that we should and we become over reliant on things such as the banking industry for our wealth,and we all know what thats done to us.
