Personally I do not approve as its only likely to cause more tensions and I really think the people of the town of Wooton Bassett do not need this sort of attention or any potential problems it may bring.

It would be lovely to see her flying over in the UK.
Can we not between us pledge a small amount of money to make this happen?
I would say maybe execution was harsh if the man was really as mentally ill as was claimed by his family, But it does seem nothing was available from even his medical records to prove the illness and China did not do any further tests to prove or disprove this.
China has as far as they feel dealt with a criminal act against their country and its people.
So in the long run if you have committed a crime in a country then you need to take the punishment that country hands out, It is not for us to judge what china has done in this case really is it.

Good lord, how utterly convincing
Bet the lucky purchaser will end up having big time buyers remorse
I can not help but think that any purchaser deserves to lose his/her money, After all why the hell would you want a blood stained canopy anyway?, The thought of it repulses me.
Its kind of funny that somebody has spent time making such a thing but not even made it look like its from a wrecked aircraft.
Frauds like this I guess will only con the stupid and uneducated and to that extent this seller stands a good chance of a sell as the world is full of the stupid lately.
I just reckon men and women will never quite understand each other, Our priorities are just different.
My wife is lovely and I would not change her for the world, But its clear that she sees thinks differently from me.
For example,
She will expect me to sort something out as soon as she sees it, Where as I am thinking I need to do that at some point.
I will leave something on a surface somewhere so I know where it is, She will come along and move it to put it somewhere tidy, then will forget where she put it and its then its my fault for leaving it on the surface in the first place.
Also if I am being romantic I must of done something wrong, I choose not to buy her flowers in case she thinks i’m cheating or something, It saves a ear bashing for being innocent LOL.

So far the favoured bit of speculation is they’re installing the Merlin into the van to make it a high powered ice cream truck.
To miss quote a Benny Hill song,
“Merlin its drives the fastest ice cream cart in the west”
Sounds like interesting times for Just Jane and to be honest speculation may keep us warm through this cold spell :D.
I have to agree with Flankermans description of a “Warbird”.
I have always seen a “Warbird” to be an retired military Aircraft that was designed to serve in frontline service for any airforce.
It does not have to have been used in anger but by design it was intended to have been so.
For example I would call a Strikemaster a “warbird”, But a Jet provost a vintage Jet, Also within types there maybe variants that were built as trainers the Hunter comes to mind, In such cases I would term all Hunters as Warbirds as the original design was as a fighter. The strikemaster is less a variant of a Jet provost and more a new type.
The term “Warbird” sticks mostly to WWII aircraft probably due to such types being the first to make it on to the airshow circuit in the 70s and 80s.
As to the Tora Tora aircraft such aircraft represent a Warbird type as does any replica so in terms I see no issue with the name being tagged to them too.
I really honestly think the crews are not seeing the bigger picture here and if the strike goes ahead(and I have doubts it will) then we will kiss goodbye to BA forever.
Sadly as we all know Britain is in a really bad way and realistically all companies are making cuts to survive, BA is already in difficulties and this could tip the balance.
I do not honestly believe the strike will go ahead anyway its sabre rattling, But trouble is that how many customers will fly with other airlines and never return, This will do a lot of damage with or without the strike.
I really can not narrow it down to one but I do have a list,
1) Mosquito- For me one of the most elegant aircraft to fly
2) Canberra
3) F-82 Twin Mustang
4) Blenheim-Look forward to her return greatly
5) Beaufighter- Goes without saying it would be an amazing sight to see
6) de Havilland Comet airline
7) Dh88 Comet- Because I have never been lucky enough to have seen ‘Grosvenor House’ fly and would love to see that shape in the sky.
And lastly and probably most wanted would be to see
8) Hawker Tempest MK-V will never get the chance to see a Typhoon as no airframe currently exists that would allow for a restoration to fly ,so the Tempest is the next almost mythical Hawker we still are missing.
OK its a long list but its Christmas I can dream can’t I?, Come on Santa bring a Mossie or a Tempest in my pressies LOL.
That’s is such a shame, I hope that is the last of the bad luck for this Spitfire and the team behind her, but at least nobody was hurt.
They never will be! He was the Master. Anna
Without a doubt he was Anna, I have several really special memories of Ray’s flying and in particular his Spitfire displays at Biggin Hill, His display in 1982 at my first ever airshow started my love of aviation and from then I was hooked.
I took every opportunity to see him fly at Biggin and some of my fondest memories come from the practice days.
The Hanna legacy has to be that MH434 is still flown in a style that Ray and Mark would approve of in the hands of Nigel Lamb in particular, That is the finest tribute to two of the best pilots I have ever seen flying.
With the current financial situation in the UK it really is difficult to see her raising the money needed. Times are tough for most people lately and to be honest airshows and aircraft probably do not feature highly for most.
Ironically though I think if they fail to keep her flying the airshow scene will suffer hugely. The so called “Vulcan effect” increased the attendances at shows hugely this year and I would think that would be very similar for 2010, Without her will people spend the hard earned/saved pounds to go to shows as much as they have this year?.
As others have said the timing of this appeal is not good either, Did they raise much money over the summertime at all?
