Good to see the exterior progress on the Trident and Vulcan. Any chance of some interior pics?

Thanks Mothminor, an engineering work of art by the looks of it. And yes it would of been an impressive combination in the Wyvern. With the most powerful british piston engine (Eagle 22) and the most powerful turboprop (for its time) the Python already under its belt the Nomad would of been in good company!

That Napier Nomad is an absolute beauty, thanks for posting the photos.
Interesting to note that a further development of the Wyvern – the MK.5, was considered first using a Nomad and then two Napier Elands arranged side by side!

Although I’m a supporter of Newark, I don’t think any thread should be ended because a reader feels that enough has been said. Clearly this particular thread is still contributed to on a regulary basis therefore of interest to other members Those who think time has expired on this thread and any other thread should not bother to continue reading it. Therefore the problem is solved for them.

Equally it’s not necessary for members to continue a witch-hunt on one member or organisation just because they can. If you don’t like the museum, then dont go!

I had to google the name to find out what a Nomad looked like. Good to see another rare type being recovered for future generations to see and learn from.

Personally I’m not fussed whether it’s of Folland or Hindustan origin, Ive never seen a single seater fly and cant wait to see it in the air. Just a shame the Golden Apple Sabre is about to leave these shores, otherwise a very different re-enactment could of been staged at airshows!
