    I agree, but personally i think Mr Flying Legends himself is one of the few who would actually negotiate with the owner, put hand in pocket and make it happen. Can’t see Yeovilton or anywhere else paying for it to be dismantled, shipped over and then re-assembled for possibly one display only.

    So for now i’d settle for a FAA formation of Sea Fury leading Seafire’s Mk.XV11and FR.47, right outside my front window :).

    I’d love to see someone brave enough to attempt to put this “Ezellized” Seafire on the UK register.

    I think the Shackleton 58 engine (with other bits on) and props would be more of an issue.

    Ah, but would that stop it making a guest appearance at FL? 🙂

    Someone mention Seafires :D? 22 series Spits are ok Cees, but to bring this beauty back home would be the ultimate for me 🙂

    Cheers Ian. Photos of Wyvern gunsights in their ‘live’ position are proving hard to find, but in the retracted position they sat almost butting up against the armoured screen, but still easily in sight if viewed from the outside. The GGS on the mounting shown is already fully retracted.

    Nice shots of the accomodation Peter, and an incredible transformation. They also help put things into perspective a bit more as to why its called an ‘hotel’.

    Be even better though with a bit more attention being lavished on the cockpit area.

    That wasn’t the real “miss Velma” it was a privately owned miniature p-51 mustang.

    Yes, i had to take a second look when i saw that on finals. It sounded brilliant too 😎

    Nice update on the Victor, Blue.

    I know its pretty much immaterial, but i sometimes wonder in idle thought just how a valuation of this Mosquito’s true monetary value could ever be reached, should it ever become available, as its surely a unique aircraft in its own right!
