Nice pics. Something cool about seeing that Hunter fly by with the canopy open . I do like that JP / Strikey foursome too. Will hopefully get to see them at some stage this year. 🙂

Great pics AT.. thanks for posting. Judging by the fuselage alot of the airframe has been cut and hacked off over the years by souvenir hunters as well as mother nature.

Apparently its more to do with the French Presidents visit to London today. Were they Typhoons or was one a Rafael?

If thats true then in a way its a shame he’s bowing out quietly. Robs has been around the airshow circuit for many a year including our first (albeit brief) glimpse of a privately owned Buchon on the circuit.

I can only assume it was the result of a dive and run across the airfield.
She also remembers the first flight of Javelins arriving there, in fog, and sounding like.. i quote, ‘a squadron of UFO’s’.

Surprisingly my dear ole mum remembers this particular aircraft performing at a RAF Duxford open day sometime during the fifties. My parents lived on the end of runway 24 next to what was The Flowerpot pub, and she describes a tiny bright yellow ‘triangular’ shaped aeroplane creating a sonic boom whilst displaying there.
Apart from possibly an Avro 707 i can’ think what else it could of been!

Yes.. and made rather more surprising by the fact that a hardly rare or significant to the area MiG-21 appears to be kept snug and dry inside.
