Great to see things are actually progressing.

Can i just reinforce what pagen has suggested, and also add in Gerry Cooper at Sandtoft and the Yorkshire Air Museum as possible sources for tools. Gerry i believe acquired XL502 from Neil Moffat some years ago, and i assume all tools and spares that Neil had built up during her airworthy days. And as she is now at YAM then maybe everything has been passed on there.!

Apparently an unexploded bomb is about to be detonated at Duxford airfield around 9.30am. Take cover…

Seamew MR.2 intended for RAF Coastal Command. The other two are AS.1 variants.

    Great shot!

    Lee

PS: nothing “whacky” or “wierd” about any of these types – they’re all RN (or intended for RN), and therefore are all “wonderful”! 😀

Ahh thanks for that Lee.. never seen that scheme on a Seamew before. And yes i know all RN types are wonderful, but some of the uneducated amongst us may not agree..;)

Nice pics again jetprov.. keep them coming.

You know seeing a Sea Hornet next to a Seafury makes you realise just what a sleek streamlined plane the Hornet was.. and given some of the oddballs they operated it makes you wonder why the Navy chose it.!
