Cheers, looks like that ones down on my birthday list – will help with my model Auster III as well. Thanks guys!
Cheers, i’ve seen that one, and also bought one by Tempus Publishing which is a more mainstream book about Austers (they’ve done similar ones about many other aircraft companies, such as English Electric, Westland etc), but i’m mostly interested in military Austers.
Very nice, whats with the replica MB5? Looks a bit too short for me, making it look chubby, could be wrong though.
Probably not much use, but heres the G-INFO page
http://www.hannants.co.uk – if theres a kit of it, you’ll most likely find it on here
http://www.netmerchants.co.uk – used to use them when they had free delivery over a fiver
http://www.whiteensignmodels.com – for model warships
I once did a Flower Class Corvette in 1/72 scale and am thinking about having a go at another. Apparently there are a number of after market detail sets available.

A company called ‘Great Little Ships’ does a full range of detail sets for the 1/72 Flower Class, won’t be much of the original kit left though if you use it all!
Heres the link if you or anyone else is interested
Pencil lead looks pretty good for scratches etc, as long as you don’t overdo it
I always use Humbrol enamels in the little 14ml tins. Why? Easy to use, cheap, and easily available.
Cheers, i sent it to the fake e mail department and confirmed it wasn’t sent by ebay, cheers guys

Yeah, be brilliant when it gets properly going
Got paid the other day and treated myself to the 1/48 Auster III, wanted it ever since it came out (must be about three years now) and got it in the post this morning, a little beauty!
May not have been afterburner, just an orange circular glow, had a very distinct engine noise as well (don’t think my ‘woooo’ would have gave hint to it’)
