About then, my parents used to take me out and about a lot when i was little, my earliest memory is of Concorde outside at Duxford, and seeing the Argosy and Vulcan at Cov is another one of my earliest.
Apparently, when it is operated on the airshow circuit, it will be sponsored by Alpha One Airways.
Isn’t that the one operated by an 18 year old and has a fleet of one eight seater aircraft?
Probably, just use your last name or full name with ‘Collection’ added at the end and you’ve got it! By the way, what warbids do you have?
Great ‘before and after’ pic Les, sure hope i do make it this weekend, i’ve wanted to see her repainted for soooo many years, don’t think i’ve ever seen her ‘as new’, and i’ve been visiting the museum for about 15 years!
Crikey, not surprising! Was that taking off/coming into land? Bet the spectators got some good pics
Could be a Chinese Stirling being flown back to Britain in disguise, where it will hide in a hangar in the Cotswolds until it appears at Legends 2006
Plastic pig? Thought that was the Robin Reliant, not the beautiful looking Harrier Gr.1 😀
Good point. Does this mean theres a chance of the Saudi Government reclaiming back the aircraft? Personally i think they look better in the good ole RAF roundel.
What’s wrong with that? I read somewhere that the Saudi government only allowed the Lightnings to be displayed in museums with the guarantee that they weren’t repainted in Saudi colours, is this why?
Do you mean the Merlins over Malta event? Heres the website http://www.merlinsovermalta.com/ click on ‘September 2005’ for details.
Perhaps it was a loose kite? 😉 :p
Ah right, PM’d another guy about it earlier, ah well :p How many old Harriers does Wittering have? They have the only complete Gr.1 and at least one complete Gr.3, would be nice if these were moved to a museum one day.
Haha, personally i think he’s hilarious

Theres a 13 year old and his dad restoring a Sea Hawk at Bruntingthorpe, to static, if that counts
