Very nice, i believe there was a second one, i’m not sure where that ended up though. Love that roundabout, it’s just a few miles from me and i pass it on my way to Hendon e.t.c.

Yeah theres one at Cosford, shame that she was with the 707 and another airliner at the bottom of the open area, away from the museum buildings, so i never got up close to her. Can’t wait to see her in the new museum, she’ll look great with the Avro York and possible Argosy

I’ll be there on the 28th August, i miss the smell of cold war aircraft and aviation fuel! Do you have any details about 28th August? On the website theres no information except theres going to be an open day, hopefully the Vulcan will be in a decent state to have a look.

Most of them are complete idiots, and cause problems for the Coastguard, RNLI and any other local independent lifeboat services. I know several people in these and they all agree something has to be done about the Jetski problem, some sort of license they have to pass before owning one would be best. The problem with water vehicles is that you don’t have to have a license so you can pratt about on them, whereas with an aircraft or motor vehicle you do.

Yeah it was, even voted for it myself as well! Shame it didn’t win, i thought it was more interesting than the other buildings. Hopefully it will be fully restored, i’d like to see it sometime

Sounds like a good reason to me, whenever i see an aircraft in the skies it always appears black, unless its real low and the weathers good.

I’d go the Harrier because of the capability to operate from almost anywhere. As well as being ground attack it could also take on jets, using ‘viffing’ and then using the cannon would have brought down a few Migs i would have thought

I could swear i still have a few crude pics i drew when i was bored in a Nimrod, one of them shows a Nimrod with a cheeky little smile with a Russian Sub, complete with hat, underneath the water!
