Ahah, i stand corrected. The Zero cockpit is still at London to the best of my knowledge but there is a Zero Wreck at Duxford in Hangar 5

So it would appear flypast have got themselves confused, then again i thought the same until i looked up on museum-explorer.org.uk

The complete IWM Zero is a complete mystery to me, but i believe the Zero cockpit at Duxford was the one that used to be on display at London. Maybe the IWM found a Zero in a country somewhere in the Pacific and are hoping to restore it? Would be nice, the Pacific theatre seems to be under-represented in military museums here in the UK

‘The Cruel Sea’ the adaptation of the book (can’t remember the author) is an excellent film, about a WW2 Royal Navy Flower class Corvette, and then a Black Swan class Sloop

Red Arrows sure would get your ordinary folk off the streets and into the crowd, and modern RAF displays would be very nice and cool

Don’t think theres a Harrier at East Midlands unless im much mistaken, but if i ever win the lottery and convert a Gr.3 into Gr.1 status i’ll probably keep it there (close to me). Your right it is a good site, the hangar looks pretty big, apparently theres only going to be a Vampire nose in there.

Hehe don’t worry i found that amusing too! Has the Vulcan been repainted? You might have it confused with the one at the Midland Air Museum at Coventry which has been repainted.

Great! Just seen some past events, the variety of aircraft looks amazing, Hurricane, Catalina, Dragon Rapide, Vampire, Twin Pin e.t.c, if you get any of these to appear at the show i’ll definitely be there! Probably go anyway, only been to one airshow before and Sywell looks like my sort of show (not too big, local, interesting stuff)

What sort of aircraft would be there? Would be nice if you could get air atlantique to bring their Twin Pin and a Dragon Rapide, perhaps a fly by with a meteor or something as well

Military vehicles would get the punters in. What warbirds are you already planning to have their, or historical aircraft? Perhaps get some aircraft to do trips, a chopper and a tiger moth e.t.c.

Gotta love the Harrier Gr.1, not only has it a very interesting history and capabilities, it also looks great as well, definitely the most attractive Harrier ever produced, and one of the worlds most interesting and beautiful aircraft

Heres my contribution, took at Mallory Park yesterday during a very enjoyable day of vintage sports car racing. Well, it would have been if it wasn’t for the rain which meant i left halfway through, only seeing six of twelve races (good job i didn’t travel all the way up to Breighton or North Coates!). The connection? This weird looking edwardian racer used to race at Brooklands, home of Vickers and the birthplace of British aviation. The car itself barely got itself past the starting line, the pole on top is actually part of the vehicle, think it might be steam powered, it certainly sounded like it (and with the steam coming out of it, it probably was)
