Is that the Hunt brothers place? They’re opening a bigger museum soon with all of their aircraft on display, including the recently recovered Boston

Nice pics, does the Hurricane XII have six machine guns in the starboard wing? Don’t recall ever seeing one like that before

Theres one on a pole at RAF Lakenheath, at a memorial on the base itself, and one in the American Air Museum at Duxford

If it’s anything like the Buccaneer – they can’t! Despite the fact they live right next to an ever increasingly busy airport, they complain about the noise!

Great thread, don’t normally look on mod mil, but I love the look of the Russian bombers, from the unbelievably ugly and weird to the graceful and perfect (mmm Badger)

At least one Valentia was used as a bomber in North Africa – a Station Commander was so enraged by the first airborne attack on his airfield, he ordered a revenge attack by all he had available, a Vickers Valentia, with the bombs being rolled out of the door!

The original from 1965, haven’t seen either so will definitely watch it, this is what the BBC says about it

When a plane crashes in the middle of the Sahara Desert, the pilot and the navigator do their best to maintain order among the survivors, a group of oil men not well-suited for survival in the harsh conditions.

Something off a Messerschmitt 108/the Nord version?

Folland Gnat’s were made at Folland’s factory in Hamble, so i’d imagine that’s why it’s there, I think XM693 was a development aircraft which is why the nose looks shorter, wouldn’t have worn Red Arrows colours but is probably in them because that’s what most people would remember the Gnat for
