1 & 3 – Beverley? No idea on the second one
Edit – referring to Phantex’s post
Probably the Save Concorde Group – “I’m gonna get this thing back in the air even if I have to do it myself”
Speaking of Bolly’s to the UK, anyone know when the Bristol Aero Collection’s Bolly is coming over? Filtonflyer?
Was going to try and get up there today but couldn’t, last chance i’ll have until at least a week on wednesday if i’m lucky. Anyone know when the Valiant is to be put in? Love to see it outside while I can.
I think the Lanc flying over the dams at low level as a prelude to the first English match would be pretty awesome, perhaps inspire the players as well
According to the IWM Airspace website, the Spitfire will be on the ground, aircraft in blue on the hangar tour page on the site are the ones that are going to be hung up, the page is here
Surely, those that see the Spit and notice the mistake in the colour scheme would already know about Duxford and no doubt have already visited before, and the purpose of the FSM is to get people that haven’t visited before to visit the museum?
Welcome to the forum Elroy13, sure am jealous of you getting to fly a Boston, beautiful aircraft with an interesting history. Where is the second seat? Read somewhere that behind the pilots seat there is another set of basic controls, so if needed the guy in the turret can control the plane.
What’s the ID of the PR? WH876 was the only Canberra at Boscombe Down I could find on Les B’s Canberra site
You’ll have an answer right away….
Excellent pics cheers, East Kirkby is definitely one of my favourite museums, definitely going to get myself on one of the taxi runs soon
I wonder if a new ‘kill’ marking appear under the cockpit 😀
What, like this? 😀
There’s some info here http://www.fleetairarmarchive.net/Aircraft/Seamew.htm interesting looking a/c, reminds me of the early Fairey Firefly’s
Only photo i’ve seen of it is on here, states the Fw 189 as in Germany though http://www.preservedaxisaircraft.com/Luftwaffe/fockewulf/rarefockewulf.htm
