Nice pics guys!
Yes Turbo NZ. Old engines are nice! I personaly like the Siemens SH 14 used on planes as the FW44, Bucker Bu133 and the VL Viima. See the nice engine on these shots of the Viima:

Realy nice pics!
Hopefully the Lysander can get ready soon. It looks nice in its target-tugg sheme! 😎
Thanks for posting JDK!

What type of Mustang is he working on (if this is true)?
Would be good to have one painted as one from the same squadron as Janie.
Assuming this is not a rumour starting off… And if Janie were to be for sale I think a forum whip-around would be in order.
Maurice Hammond has a second P51D mustang which he has recently bought. This new P51D has serial number 44-13521 (see warbirds directory in Flypast may 2004)

Sorry to cause your heart attack this morning Yak11Fan 😮 . These could be rumors I heard so that is why I ask if it is up for sale. Did you notice the question-mark????
I am 100% shure that I read that Mr. Hammond wants to sell this mustang in the (distant?) future. My guess is that he will sell the Mustang but only when his other P51D Mustang project has reached a further stage of restoration (or even flies).
So, Mr. Hammond will not be without a mustang. I hope you can recover from this shock Yak11Fan and hope you get well soon! 😉

What luck! It goes to show that it’s always best to have your camera with you wherever you go!
Yes, it was my lucky day since I had (for once) my camera with me. 🙂
And it could be ex G-BAFM because this plane was exported to switzerland in 1996 and this Harvard MK IIB is still on the swiss (HB) registry.

Thanks A330Crazy.
If someone wants more info about these planes, you should take a look at their websites:

Greets,

After a 1 hour stop they departed to continue their trip. I am always suprised to see such unexpected visitors.
Cheers,
J.V.
The duo came from Fairford and was on its way to their home (Frankfurt/Germany).
Ten minutes later, Boeing PT17 stearman N67193 also landed. (interesting cowling system on the engine isn’t it?)
I think your waiting could come to a end soon. With this amount of Kestrel powered planes almost ready, a Kestrel formation is just waiting to happen! 😉
Isn’t that a GREAT Idea for the Legends in 2005?

As said before, these are nice shots! The Avenger F-AZJA seems to have a busy season. I’ve seen it at several shows in France. She does attend much events and its good to see such a type often at shows.

I found some other adverts with P51 mustangs for sale:
http://www.restore-online.com/aircraft_sale.html
http://www.totalperformanceaircraft.com/inventory.asp
and another from the same aircraft:
http://www.pilotmarket.com/category/Aircraft_For_Sale/War_Birds/North_American/
And in the projects page of this group a restoration is almost ready and up for sale:
http://www.sq1aviation.com/
Maybe you should also think about buying a P51 which is already flying in europe.
Isn’t Maurice Hammonds P51 up for sale? And wasn’t there a mustang reported for sale recently in France?
Good luck in your quest Hairyplane!

The engine was installed but there where some technical problems with it. The engine has been send back to the USA for modifications. Some pics and more info on the spit (how it was last month) can be found here:

Thanks a lot Chris. Yes, the two Nimrods in Formation with that Audax would be great. But What do you think about this possibility for the future?
A Formation with:
– 1x Hawker Audax (G-BVVI) from HAC
– 2x Hawker Nimrod (G-BWWK + G-BURZ) from TFC and HAC
and
– 1x Hawker Fury (G-CBZP) from HAC
– 2x Hawker Hind (G-AENP + G-CBLK) from the Shuttleworth and HAC.
together!
Wouldn’t that be a magnificent demonstration to represent planes from the early thirties with the superb Kestrel engine! 😎 The thought about that sight and sound makes me feel al warm! 🙂
