Anyway, here are the ‘best’ of what was left. I expect they duplicate some of the shots that have already been posted on her from other’s visits to Hendon, but hopefully there a few new angles. I do have a few more photos which I will post if there is enough grovelling 😀
Please post more! Many of us can’t visit Hendon often. So we can’t get bored while we look a nice pics of that great museum. Some nice pics of the WWI stuf would be great!
PS: those pics are nice, even when you don’t use a flash! 😉
Thanks Geoff.

Yes, all those movies are great. That Me109 footage is also nice. I hope to see one soon for real! 😎

At G-INFO, I saw that Mr. Lacey’s Bu181 bestman G-GLSU has gained it’s CofA so the first one of his luftwaffe collection is airworthy again! 🙂 Which aircraft is the next in line? the FW44 Stieglitz maybe … 😉

I’m already a bit releaved to see that they removed those unrealistic high bids. But it is still uncertain if the current winner is a serious bidder. Let’s hope it is. Al we can do is wait and see …

Isn’t this the one that had sky blue camo?
Like this? If this was its previous sheme, then I’m glad they repainted this bird. I like the new paint, even if it isn’t 100% authentic.

I like the new paint. It is something different for once. It isn’t blue and it’s in RAF markings. 😉 Nice job!
Thanks for posting those pics and background info John and PL.

Did someone see the wooden replica of the spit Spitenbois F-WGML (which you also can see at Daz his link) fly at any show. Does it look (and sound) right? It was due to appear at last years show at La ferte, but never showed up. I wonder if it is as good as they say.

I works fine for me! 😎 Great pics B-17 man!

Yes, this got in the news in Belgium too. Its sad that this could not be prevented. A dark day in the dutch movieworld.
J.V.
Thanks Flood for that info.
You’ve got pics of some nice planes there archer. I understand why they converted this spit to a MKXIV lookalike, but I still prefer to see them in their original mark configuration. And certainly when it is a rare type such as the MK XVIII. But local history is always an important theme for a museum.

The Belle tread is a very nice one. I would love to see more stunning pics. So I hope you find the time to post some B-17man. Welcome on board!

Great link Daz!

Now I thought I would find some realy good info! If someone should know about a good 1/72 scale kitt of a Buchon, I would be very interested. (not the Classic Plane kitt as this kitt only has decals for spanish Buchons and I already have that one).
Great work you guys. I’ll post might some of mine later.
