Translation for those who wouldn’t speak dutch. I speak dutch, so I hope I’ll do it right :p 😮 :
At this very spot, on the 7th october 1944, a young english pilot named James Brian TEATHER -164SQ RAF crashed in his Typhoon fighter/bomber.
Twenty days later, his widow gave birth to his son. As a ever lasting memory she placed this bench here.
For our future, he gave his present.
A nice dedication to one of the many.
Thanks for posting,

As for the wreck of the crashed one, there were photographs in the local newspaper Ouest France. There was not much to save ast the plane exploded when hitting the ground.
I’m sad to hear that. 🙁 Sadly, sometimes such things happen. Thanks for that additional info Willy.

Not that Seafire 47 again!
Oh no! 😮 It looks great again! This one is also on my wish list to see ‘live’ one day!
Great pics Mark!

This tread brings back nice memories. Thanks for posting guys. It is great to recall the Black6/OFMC messerschmitt duo from 1995. That was a historic chance to see two DB aircrafts together.
And you don’t need to appologize Archer. Any pic of Black 6 is worth posting to this board.
Thanks,
J.V.
Ah yes, how could I forget 😮 , I’ll add a mosquito to my previous list. It would also be great to see such nice machine airborne in europe again! 😎

G-BRLV is still owned by Extraviation but is now permanently based at Kortrijk-Wevelgem (EBKT) in Belgium. The Harvard joined the Extraviation’s Stampe SV4b OO-ESV in july. So this one stays on the UK register but doesn’t operate from North Weald anymore.
See this pic taken 2 weeks ago when it landed at EBKT:

Any type of lightning for me. Both the P38 or a EE Lightning would make a nice return on the european scene! 😎

Nice pics Spey111. Does that scale model FW190 fly often? And if it does, any idea who flies it.
Greets,

The Dewotine D.520 crashed on finals at Vannes in July 1986, the pilot was killed.
I have more info somewhere and will revert later.
At the moment two D.520 will be rebuilt to static condition. Works are under progress at the moment.
Thanks for that first piece of info. I hope you can find more. And if you do, don’t hesitate to share it.
Cheers,
J.V.
Good luck with your Heinkel Hunt next week MK959. For now, I’ll enjoy the pics you posted so far. Looks like you guys realy have a lot more beautifull projects in the queue. 🙂 I am sad to hear about the Dewoitine. Now I know why I didn’t hear anything about it recently. 🙁 What where the circumstances of the crash? Was there a recovery of the wreck or was it a total loss?
PS: any idea what type of plane we can see on your mast pic?
Thanks,
J.V.
Forgive the number of Spit shots in this sequence
OK, that’s done. I think we will forgive you. 😮 Nice work Maarvin!
