The only question now is why it took so long.

You might also want to take a look here with the correct serial numbers of the Sabre survivors 😉 :
    http://f-86.tripod.com/index1.html

This Sabre has sn 47-606. Another clue maybe.

And on this link you can see the first F86A-1 delivered to the USAF had serial number 47-605 so 47-606 must be the second one.

The Sabre is one of the most beatufull jets for me. I was Lucky to see one for the first time in my life flying at Lelystad. Also these birds look great! 😎

    1. The museums website does say thet this was the second production model ordered by the USA. See this link:
    http://www.asmac.ab.ca/html/sabre_f86.html

The Sabre C-GBUI has cn 1710 and was also used by the RCAF as a target tug aircraft.
Take also a look here with info about the use of target drone QF-86E’s such as C-GBUI:

Those scale productions improve by the day Daz. The one on your pic proves that.

    Nice!

Here in Belgium we got a dutch song wich goes as follows:

Ik was verliefd op een airhostes,
    t’was in een DC6.

    Translated:

I was in love with a airhostes,
    It was in a DC6.

The song is a romantic adventure in a DC6. This guy just travels the world in a DC6 to be with the love of his life (sadly not the DC6  ) He flies to London, San Francisco, Hong Kong and Las Vegas. He must be a very rich guy to travel to those destinations each week. :p

PS: The artists name is Will Tura.

Scottish cats can sleep for up to 18 hours at a time. Trust me, I know!

Is that all? Why should I thrust you on this one :p (Just wonder myself). How did you acquire this knowledge? Is that cat from the pic a scottish cat? What is the influence of alcohol on the sleeping behaviour of (scottish) cats?

What an animal! This must be a cat living on the edge! I never saw my cat drinking a can of beer. Where is this going to stop! 😮

I urge to start with a group which can help addicted pets! :p
How about the AAP: Anonymous Addicted Pets.

Where are my sunglasses. 😎 What a great list of attending aircrafts. Sadly I wasn’t born yet at that time. That is one of the reasons I could not attend. 😉

Thanks for posting these pics Mark, so that after all these years we can enjoy these birds in colour.

This proves again that a corsait is a stong plane (as many other WWII planes). But that bird shure proved to be a expensive one! 😮
