I’m after one of these comms boxes to fill the last big hole in my Cobra panel. Also Sea Hawk quarter and eyebrow panels. I’ve got similar from an F100 and a variety of other ‘things’ by way of exchange. Always worth an ask!
Really enjoyed the last one so will back again. Thanks for the notice.
Pre war, Cardiff airport was Pengam Moors. It moved to Rhoose, a satellite of St Athan, after the war. A Halifax hung around there into the fifties. Now, inevitabley, housing estates and superstores.

How easily the evenings slip away, FLY.BUY! You could be right on the Hudson yoke, the centre looks different to the (unusually clear) image in the pilot’s notes. The shape is very similar though, with protrusions at the ends. Your IL 18 column is very impressive. Is that a dial fitted? As well as a reading lamp! Looks a bit Nimrodski.
I thought better of the Berlin aviation shop, temptation would have been dangerous after an expensive weekend. Have you tried the shop in Dorking? I drove passed but haven’t stopped.
Of all the coincidences, I am in Berlin right now! Will have a look…
A correct artificial horizon has now completed my back seat AT-6 Texan panel (definitely Texan, built in Dallas). The gyro compass might need adjusting though. There’s a removable wooden control column on the way to join it too. Another wooden stand is needed…
And Hawk 75s/ Mohawks.
An Art Deco treat, Swifter. Oh for unlimited cash!
That looks pretty conclusive JK, great pics. Makes it a very unusual grip too.
I must admit I firmly believed it to be a Bucc grip. Closer inspection shows the casting around the trigger is a different shape to the Bucc S1 and matches the Javelin perfectly. The Javelin is front in the photo. You learn something every day! Now what flavour of Javelin was it fitted to?
Hello Gabby, Batura on this forum has an F104 panel for sale. Check back through the thread!
Cheers Mike, I’ve had a few buttons and switches from Oncealoft. I often get lost browsing through his collection. The turret, wing stores and 20mm panels are repros I’ve made up, don’t think there’s much chance of finding genuine ones in the short term. A selection of lights, switches and a pair of new made air vents are on their way from the States at the moment.
That’s come up an absolute treat, Swifter. It looks immaculate under the paint, well worth the risk. I think the late P38 yoke is the absolute best looking flying control.
That is an unusual panel, Mike, and a very good deal. I just missed bidding, although only to strip it of pillar and panel lights and switches. They were destined for this Huey Cobra project.
The panel is from 68-15031 ‘Pandora’s Box’ which was flitting around South East Asia when I was one. I like the fact it has an ash tray.
