Vulcan rather than Valiant seat. He needs to stick an XH558 label on it. Nice saucer too.

I did think of you when I clicked on that link, Mark! I’m going to put a couple of spares off my B1 panel up shortly, with photos of them in situ. Now is the time!
Elsewhere on ebay, Defiant spade grip? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/191724889746?_trksid=p2060353.m2763.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

It looks a lot like the heater control wheel off a Vampire.

Cheers Rob, I need eyebrow panels and coaming first but I could be tempted! At least a cut out frame, removable of course, so I can open the fridge door.

Here’s some progress on my Sea Hawk bits. The panel was joined by a seat, throttle and some other useful bits (Thanks Bill!). The seat was swapped for a paintball course recovered Valiant seat. It has joined another seat which may well have been from the same aircraft, both coming by wildly different routes from the Rhoose airport museum.
I’ve laser cut a couple of plastic quarter panels until real ones come along. The woodwork arrangement is more than a bit Heath Robinson, with bits being screwed on to get the right angles and fits. The whole thing has been lowered at the back and stepped up at the front to try and get the correct sitting position. The gun sight is now just about at eye level.
It’s getting a bit big for the kitchen now.

Unlikely to be ‘Einkel by the shape, and the wiring looks a bit modern for wartime. Do dials fit the holes?

Hello Brian, I’ve got a matching one, although mine claimed to be P47! I found a few more images, including a complete dug example again from Poland. I’ll sort out the pictures tomorrow. Also mounted in the nose of later ‘Einkels and Ju188s and the like. I think the button is a bigger diameter than the KG12/13 type.

I must admit my first reason for having a stall was to get into events early and find ‘all the good stuff’. So far it hasn’t happened! Last weekend two items I might well have bought were picked up long after the public came in. I did find up a nice Harrier panel for a fiver on my last trawl around though, which cheered me.
Not to the same extent as Mysticpuma’s idea though. Top drawer.

Those switches are pretty standard (with minor variations, there are Always variations) I’ve got them fixed to Nimrod, Comet and Andover yokes.

Thanks McLittle, the number is X44979. It was a standard type pre and early war and can be seen in lots of photos. Despite being 101 gallons out it will be a safer alternative to an existing 45 gallon in my Spit panel, Versuch. Close inspection shows a long 1 on that face too.

Looking good Brad! Best guess so far is early Vickers Viscount or Valetta. The pic is from ‘Control in the Sky’ by LFE Coombs, a very good reference. Also check ‘Once Aloft’, here: http://www.angelfire.com/il2/aphs/vickers.jpg
Your B17 yoke is a treat, Swifter. The woodwork looks in lovely condition. Not sure if they were fitted to the early Forts the RAF used, probably none over here though. Ebay continues to delight! That said, another forumite found a nice Canuck column at Newark, which I sagely described as Vampire. The knuckle is pretty similar though…

Thanks for the comment Worcs Aviation. The 1s do look a bit long, but if they weren’t there the other numbers wouldn’t add up! I’ve tried to get Oxford capacity details, Elliott, but 150 gals is the nearest I can find. Thanks for the suggestion.

Another enjoyable jumble. Although a long drive for me, the sensible price of a stall, the advertising and facilities made it well worth attending. The face to face selling, chat and good company made it a treat. Having the jumble as an add on to a normal Saturday makes sense, with no big extra outlays. Not being a business, I wouldn’t pay the stall prices Brenzett ask. Their having to pay for a marquee bumps the price up too far.
Yesterday didn’t seem too thronged with buyers but there were lots of familiar faces and there is now more space in my loft. Having spent many years as a jumble visitor (Yeovilton, Tangmere etc.) I’m very much enjoying being on the other side. My main objects of lust on sale were a Bucc S2 grip (£350) and a reproduction Lanc yoke (not worth asking!) Hawker1966 probably had the bargain of the day.
Thanks to NAM for organising again, an excellent day out.
