    I am a member of the BPA and helped build the rear fuselage of the Defiant, this is first ive heard of closure but to be honest its no surprise reading the news letters.

    I would suggest that all the active members are local to Wolverhampton and ex employees and are getting on now

    was told by someone at work they saw a nimrod on a low loader on Sunday on the M42 near Coleshill, sorry no numbers and cant guarantee his accuracy. Any ideas where to other than the scrappy round there that frags airframes?

    Handley Page Victor K2 HP-80 XH671 Slinky Sue / Sweet Sue which took part in the first Gulf War Operation Granby also show in IAT Static July 1991 at RAF Fairford to end up scrapped after a static cabin pressure test at RAF Marham (also see page 28, February 2011 Aircraft magazine for nice shot)

    I said id add a few pics of Lindy ages ago and finaly got around to it, the first few are from the final day of operation at RAF Marham, (although i cant identify Lindy on the originals but she was one of the four flyers left that day, one to Elvington, Cosford and Bruntingthorpe, i cant remember where the fourth went but Saint Morgan rings a bell for fire training), the second few are a bit of a horror story taken the same day, the third, delivery day to Elvington, I didnt get the landing as she landed at the very far end of the runway out of site

    its a really deceptive shot, there is deff a gap in the hedge, by the way thats Birmingham in the background
