I generally hear complaints about them (performance, engineering, or other issues)
A seems to be well accepted?
it was clearly stated repeatedly from the very start what India wanted:
120 fighters for 10 billion dollar
at 83 million per pop, that only leaves us with the Gripen or lower versions of the f-16.
if the 2013 orders by the UAE for more Block 60s are anything to go buy, they are around the same price range as the Rafale.
blah. MMRCA chose Rafale when what they really wanted was a single engine jet
Indian Navy chose MiG-29K when what they really wanted was a western twin engine jet
Its still not too late, any chance India can convert the IAF orders for Rafale into IAN Rafale Ms?
at least that’ll save time for one of its two competitions.
1. the Tejas is a failure as it won’t be the one replacing all those mig-21s?
2. the Rafale was the wrong choice for MMRCA. Now hold your panties Rafale fanboys, I said wrong choice, not worst aircraft. I think it probably was the best aircraft of MMRCA, but a twin engined medium might not have been the best option given that they already have quite a few flankers.
