the answer to this one is easy
F-16E for all
LCA Mk2 and MiG-35 are vaporware. they don’t exist.
You can argue they could or would be built, and they will have all these fancy things. but unless they are actually inducted into service, they don’t exist.
just like the super duper Typhoon with AESA shooting meteors.. how long have we been waiting now?
short answer yes, long answer no
Both Canada and Turkey seriously considered buying outright the Iranian F-14 fleet after the Revolution; the aicraft, spares and weapons were all up for sale
It would have made a much more sensisble interceptor for Canada, Australia, and the UK RAF than the compromises they eventually received ( though without Phoenix of course, much too pricey ).
certainly Australia and Canada make sense given the need for a long range interceptor that could do other duties. not sure Turkey could’ve afforded it back in the 80s
RN and RAF also made sense but too strong a Panavia lobby here
And now a report that suggests that Dassault may pull out of negotiations..too much intrigue!
good, now that rafale is dead. lets get some photoshop of su-35 in IAF colors
but is tejas as capable as mirage 2000?
how credible is ‘sputniknews’ ?
dafuq. good job India, way to waste 14 years of people’s lives.
However I had a feeling the Rafale deal wouldn’t go through
and I also felt they should’ve procured more MKIs or 35s.
also LOL at Japan joining with India. wet dreams.
Japan wouldn’t mind selling to them, but working with them? Ask the French and Russians how that went.
AMCA is starting to look worse and worse. they should just bandwagon with the Turks, Koreans, or Japanese.
havent followed naval news in a while.
i found this. how legit is this? an actual russian proposed design for a carrier or fanart

One would’ve thought a nation with Poland’s history would be reluctant to invade others, but as you point out, that doesn’t appear to be the case.
its perhaps the reason why they need to invade this time instead of being passive 😉
the AW159 looks like a riskier venture. i don’t think the military version has been adopted in any air force. but its certainly the newest and sleekest option.
I also generally feel Augusta Westland > Airbus/Eurocopter
That better kill ratio was only if the F-14 was allowed to use the AIM-54 at ranges greater than the Sparrow was capable of.
In a pure Sparrow/Sidewinder/gun fight the Eagle won most of the time – as did the F-16 & F/A-18.
The F-14 had the same multi-shot Sparrow capability as the F-15.
but in real time wouldnt the phoenix limitation be null unless on interception/escort duties?
F14 did quite well in iran iraq war
The F-14 proposal to the USAF was as a replacement for the F-106 with Air Defense Command, not F-X for TAC.
Two completely different roles for two different Commands; there was no suggestion that the F-14 would have been bought instead of the ’15 for TAC.
you are right, but also some other airforces did evaluate both for the same role. Iran and Japanese
great news, Sweden wants a more aggressive Nordic Defense!

hopefully this will lead to more development of Saab aircraft
i dont understand the butt hurtedness here.
he’s just reconfirming what’s common
newer F-16 superior to early mig-29. ok
mig-29 hms is great and so is the mig29s thrust. ok
mig-29 had limited range and poor cockpit lay out. ok
dude thought m2000 was overrated even though other fellow pilots praised it. ok, so he acknowledges other pilots like it but he doesnt
western fighters had superior bvr over their soviet counterparts during those days. ok
so whats the big deal.
further to this…
Confirmation from the Iraqi MOD:
1- that they stopped the purchase of any L159s from Czech Republic.
2- They have agreed with the US on delaying further payments for the F16IQ
3- Funds have been reallocated to buy “sukhois” and large volumes of munitions.
4- They have speeded up the work on the T50-IQ with South Korea (they were originally scheduled for January 2016 delivery)
5- There is also unconfirmed news about the UAE donating 6x Super Tucanos and 10x Mirage-2000-9s to Iraq
6- Iraqi Army aviation also finally confirmed without a shadow of a doubt that they will not buy Apaches or AT6C texans and that Orders with Russia will be increased.
7- Russia has agreed to sell Iraq weapons with deferred payments.
So that’s the “state of play” as of now.
so much wishful thinking.
how long will all these equipment end up in the hands of ISIS again?
It seems after Argentina buying into China’s P18 OPV, VN-1 APC, now it looks at more potent fighter jet than JF-17, the J10
after Kirchner makes me rikey rikey jokes about Chinese, china responds by offering them high tech weapons.
good luck getting paid back!
