are you sure about lower energy prices. In 2008. there were 2 dollars in a british pound and 1.65 dollars in a Euro. Europe introduced austerity while US spend vast amount of credit expansion to frack the ground for energy and military budget even larger. They have other negative impacts long term but for now that vast Military budget impresses Arabs to buy more US military hardware and invest even more in US. Wars are necessary for higher military exports and energy prices.

the size and quantity of bombs small. Tu-22 is not right aircraft for such mission. its wasting fuel. The only way of concentrated and sustained bombing is either built bigger bomber like Tu-160M2 or put planes local bases. the utility of SU-24/25 also going away. using two pilots for hauling relative to Su-34 is small size load.

There´s absolutely zero reasons for any Eurofighter partner nation to acquire a Rafale.
Out of that 127 about 72 are from KSA that is pure luck of high oil prices at the time. There are alot of emerging countries that will need and can afford high tech fighters. Japan/Korea and even China shifting factories to emerging markets due to aging population. with out 100% made in Europe fighter system at affordable price. It will lose big in everything else everywhere.
JSRTu-160M2 is the only logical solution as its large and fast platform with flexibility of all kind of weopons in single mission. AWACS have large crew that is expensive by itself and it need other platforms for protection and strike. sensors and shooter in same platform the best.
