Indian Navy is doing fine. they can be upgraded in later.
Its IAF that is lacking wisdom. They are buying aircraft in 21st century with small nose and weak engines. Strong engines and large nose is must for AESA.
with little prospects of leap frog in electronic technologies as French state funding support is not on same level as US/Russia/China. and that will not likely ever change. and that not even including current uncompetitivness.

Given the MiG-35 is identical to the MiG-29M except for the avionics and has the same engines, how was this 1-tonne increase in payload achieved?

your referring to old MIG-29M. New MIG-29M is identical with MIG-29K. and has 6500kg. see page 21. infact with new engines ground level speed is now 1500km/h for MIG-29M. All 3 fighters have 6500kg external payload. if u ignore the typo.

The circuit is called core-chip and is based on nano heterostructures GaAs. The multi-functional system has the most state-of-the-art innovations and can replace almost 11 integrated circuits from the previous generation. the point i am making is the people working on 5G fighters at higher level will not be tempted by 10 fold pay check increase as they are handsomely compensated already due to very unique nature of project.
And Putin association with 5G fighters is much longer than his association with Football. (see world cup bid, hiring of expensive coaches, players, football clubs).

so the project failure due to lack of money is simply not going to happen.

Yes I was prolly a bit overpesimistic there. Everyting in Russia doesnt look hopelessly dark, just because democracy (or whatever one would like to call it) has started to take some worrying steps in the wrong direction as of lately. That, combined with a stagnation of the Russias econnomy, and a possible future resumed brain drain when the middle class have had enougth makes me feel pessimistic now and then these days.

I hope Russia manage to keep these brilliant engineers that work on the carbon nanotube material. It would suck to se them accepting a ten fold paycheck increase and go and work for LM etc.

And I hope there is a will from Sukhois side to consider this new research and if its found to be as important it well might be, there is a will to take the time to tast and implement it if possible. Even if it (probbably) would slow down the testing and production phase of the test aircraft. I.e trade time and monney now for a potential better end product in the future.
