    Both RD-33 and AL-31 are highly reliable and worked in single engine flighters without much problem now in big numbers in Chinese fighters. infact the few videos of J-10 and JF-17 highly impressive as they not light weight composite fighters like EU fighters.

    . If the S-400 sale goes through this summer (deliveries) then the US Government and the Congress would have to evaluate whether 1) Turkey still gets its F-35A’s 2 )

    so they are waiting until summer of 2019. think about logic of waiting so long.
    are there Germanic parts in F-35. as Germany has shown solidarity with Turkey in that consulate issue with some trade sanctions of arms exports that is not favorable to British and French firms. if too much losses to Turkey. they may further compensate it.

    Rafale? That’s exactly my point – how many Rafales did the India buy in the end – after 10 or 12 years “shopping”?

    how many M2K India bought and its slow upgrades compared to MIG procurement and upgrades including MIG-29K/MIG-21 upgrades.. I can foresee India buys more Su-57 than Rafale. at some point they are going to retire all 4G fighters and only one fighter will replace it.

    50% DE, 200W at 2GHz with 50V input voltage.

    Wolfspeed’s doing 65% DE, 500W at 2.9-3.5GHz with 50V input now and in a tiny 2cmx1cmx3mm package to boot. I couldn’t be a*sed downloading the russian cad files, but I bet you the things you linked are huuuge!

    If we step down a little to 1GHz, then how about this monster? 1400W at 50V in, and the thing is just 4cmx1cmx4mm!

    In a nutshell, the company you linked….. is years behind. Don’t think they’ll be catching up to the world any time soon. I still haven’t seen any massed produced GAN X-Band transistors from Russian companies, you?

    they can always use Chinese technolgoies. but if they are increasing IT exports more than defense exports shows the scale of development.

    is there any Mi-17V5 crash before for technical reason. I would not be surprised its a demonstration of Chinese technology in radars, missiles and even Space technology.. Look at Lavi fighter relationship to Chinese goes 100 years..

    Ruaf has simply ordered bigger size products like A-100, Su-34 (50% more MTOW than already bigger Flanker), bigger size fuel tanks, pods and missiles. it all enhance flexibility.

    Plus Russia has effective R&D collaboration with East Asian countries.

    I actually pointed this out specifically in one of the deleted PAK FA threads.

    Joe posted multiple pictures of one of the radar component foundries from when a politician did a site visit.

    I posted details of all the machines photographed and they were extremely old systems produced by European manufacturers.

    With no domestic ability to produce the machines to make components and combined with sanctions for dual use equipment, Russia has no ability to mass produce truely modern EASA radar components.

    you clearly not understanding it. its making things 100% indigenous for complex things that making things slow down. It is certainly not F-35 with its various countries and industrial partners.
    PAKFA is relatively classified project. but we can deduce from the goal of civilian aviation projects.

    . there is no such project anywhere else.

    No orders will not rise with more countries entering into the project. infact it will give reason to Germany to dial back its own orders and concentrate on the intermediate components and use Germanic efficiency to bankrupt other EU suppliers to the project.
    now in past UK managed to export Tornadoes and EF that help the project in long term sustainability. but this not likely to get repeated. infact it will be in Germany interest to keep export controls to control France or anyother country not getting any money from anywhere else so not challenge its EU dominance.
    Germany has that side business of wealth creation that will multiply in coming decades.

    The point is until this point there was no explicit mention of France defending Germany. France is only country that Germany willing to put money for various aviation projects. now why Germany not develop products with Sweden, UK, Turkey, Poland or even Korea/Japan on same scale?. this big win for France. it will give them much higher production down the road. Paris as financial center and controlling labor and trade flow over 500 million people. All this happened due to bringing independent industrial skills to the table.

    Now that you realized that Flanker can’t carry Brahmos and reach supersonic, you try to go back on your words. It not that easy. You made a dumb argument, you should own it

    there is no evidence either way whether it can carry or not as tests just started. so premature speculation. Flanker is designed for 2500 to 3000L fuel tanks with big wing tip pods.. Flanker life is pretty long. don’t be surprised in post 2020 period Flanker carrying hypersonic missiles to supersonic speeds.

    so India with world largest net addition of population cannot create world largest missile project they are fully committed to Brahmos project with world largest procurement orders. and Japan is abandoning all projects left and right that need material science and heavy engineering knowledge. Even when Japan was land of rising sun it could only manage about 100 Mitsubishi F-2 spread over 20 years. Extremely slow production rate for single engine Non-TVC fighter without CFT tanks. There is no special super-duper missile designed for Mitsubishi F-2.

    None your pics prove supersonic launch of missiles. Kh-31/Kh-58 not have same role as Kinzal/Brahmos even though Kh31/kh58 are multirole.
    Even existing stock of brahmos missile can be upgraded to long range version. show me other missile whose range can increase so easily to existing stock?
    Mach 3.5 to Mach 5 Brahmos is not same project as hypersonic Brahmos. Zircon already at Mach 8. Don’t assume stuff when you lack scientific insights.

    Did you drop that argument about size , scope and procurement of Brahmos project? or its continuity to infinity.

    The Brahmos with increase speed of between Mach 3.5 to Mach 5 is not same as hypersonic brahmos.
    Brahmos has order book of $4.5b in 2018 and to that past 20 years of procurement. its huge project just integration complex in India is 40 acres. plus 20k people from NPO working on technologies developed based on it.

    Except for ASM-3, ASMP, Rampage, AARGM-ER, AGM-69, Black Sparrow, Blue Sparrow, Silver Sparrow

    are those missiles 700kg class and single fighter can carry multiple of them to Mach 1.5 speed. there is no point of carrying high speed missile if it inhibit fighter from going supersonic.
    I already show you current warhead size is sufficient so they are making bigger warhead.

    the largest single missile system programeme for strike called Brahmos only interested in increasing speed not making it slower.
    with current technology Brahmos can fly upto Mach 5 in newer version. but higher speed than that will need new materials and engine.

    Those Brahmos specifications are 25 years old

    It can’t be since Brahmos only gone into service in 2006, besides your logic can be apply to Western missiles also

    the only thing claimed was 9 times energy of Tomyhawk on target.

    because they used this simple equation

    KE = 1/2*m*v^2

    and therefore more speed = more energy, but they didn’t care to take into account the differences in warhead mass

    I am sure ALCM version will provide even more speed since much newer

    big nose of fighter radar can find slow moving fighter and missile release out from a distance and alert airdefence. it conserve the energy of airdefence.
    all new missiles are from mach 4 to all the way to mach 10. and only hypersonic research is worth spending on critical scientific manpower. Only China and India has surplus labor to be involved in every project.
