In which reality are you living. There is no no-fly zone over Syria at present.
You don’t need real time, since the thing is sitting in one place and you could time a missile flight to coincide with a passing satellite.
There is no fly zone active now on all the areas that Syrian controlled. Nutinyahoo has gone quiet. Russia is going to create the largest fighting army on the ground in Middleast. No one else can resupply so many combatants at same time. A lot of training and sieges simultaneously.

There is no fly zone over large areas of Syria now. You won’t hear Israelis again. they are the nearest. There is very narrow corridors where other flightsare permitted. Satellites can’t provide real time and Russia knows flight paths of satellites and can deal with camo from it.
Unless the S-400 is constantly moving around, everybody already knows where it is, making it an easy target.
how every one knows where it is when no overflight allowed over the areas. It’s practical no fly zone now.
Aircraft carriers can be sensible investments for some nations — such as the United States. United Kingdom, or China — without necessarily being a sensible investment for Russia. And yes, the resources required to effectively protect aircraft carriers are certainly one of factors contributing to the cost-benefit analysis of owning and operating them.
France is another nation that might be better served by alternate solutions, e.g. long-range strike aircraft.
It seems you have no understanding about emerging technologies and where practically world is moving. You can’t land IL-76/An-124/Tu-214R on carriers and without them the sortie and the bombs rate per fighter can’t be maintained. and they fighters are already big on internal fuel like Su-34.
That low strike rate was the reason for failures in previous Libya/Afghan/Irak aircompagins as it dispersed the combatants. Russia strikes completely cleaned the areas by day and night concentrated fire in one area . This is past. The future is arrival of hypersonic weopons, radar satellites, gigantic AWACs, small ships and subs that carry multipurpose cruise missiles, compactness and distribution of airdefence systems on land, ships and subs, directed energy weapons, long range mlrs. I have read Russia is upgrading the Syrian base for 200 fighters. This will enable it to impose hegemony on Middleast. it’s in Turkey/Egypt self interest to contain every one else beside Russia at the blockage locations. I don’t see aircraft carriers play major role anywhere in Middleast and if it can’t play in Middleast it is practically useless everywhere else.
you can’t blame garry for his hollywood stuff when people in power has such stupid thinking and not understand military power

PARIS—French President François Hollande delivered a sharp critique of the Obama administration in comments published Wednesday, calling Washington afraid to use its power to stop the bloodshed in Syria but too eager to wield its economic might to penalize European companies.
I don’t see how carriers can provide flexibility as massive resources are needed to protect them and they still need friendly ports to maintain on voyages. it can create a lot of dependency on so called allies.
flexibility is in advanced robotic industrial production. if this class of missiles are produced in same quantities like Toyota produce cars which need more parts. than it can overhelm any airdefense just by sheer number.

Strategic aviation aircraft in a real combat situation for the first time used a new air-launched missiles X-101 with a range of up to 4.5 thousand kilometers
imagine sending 1000 missiles per day to Syria.
There is some truth to that, but like so many things its not black-and-white. On a military forum, the first thing one thinks about are nukes; but then China had a successful nuke program way back when it wasn’t building or manufacturing anything worthwhile.
China never had a successful nuke programe way back. there is decades of gap between China nuclear bomb and its nuclear power industry (that nuclear industry is complete amalgamation of various countries reactor tech). so its highly likely the China nuke bomb was from stolen or given tech.
only in 2013 China developed own commercial centrifuge tech.
http://www.world-nuclear-news.org/ENF-China_builds_uranium_enrichment_centrifuge-2502134.html
CNNC said that, “after a long period of painstaking research” at Lanzhou in central Gansu province, it has successfully developed uranium enrichment centrifuges for commercial use.
Meanwhile, you might want to look at the origins of India’s IT industry, an out-and-out success story (you’ll find one Jack Welch and a certain GE involved). Same thing with the automobile industry; used to build two three licensed versions to foreign types two decades ago. Today, local brands are moderately successful while the country exports 6 million cars annually (mostly foreign marques).
I don’t see what is the success in Indian IT industry except all the talented manpower of the country is consumed in producing backend operations for various firms. 6 million car export annually?
Of course, the defence industry is different, primarily because there is no ‘free market’ in the business. That said, there is still an opportunity if they play the govt plays the cards right. The defining factor will be good policies, an efficient bureaucracy and effective leadership. The current state of affairs in the MoD isn’t confidence inspiring but in non-defence sectors the Indian govt has done/is doing a fairly commendable job.
efficient bureaucracy and effective leadership from current Indian system. I would predict once Modi is done. India will be a lot more depended on external flows and expertize.
why they buying in post 2020 block.

Polish MinDef is president of the association of the american foundation “Friends of Poland”. According to Gazeta Wyborcza (http://wyborcza.pl/1,75398,20786556,macierewicz-pomylkowy-prezes-niezwykle-tlumaczenia-amerykanskich.html?disableRedirects=true). Their site is now down (what a surprise…). Opposition at parliament is asking for a formal inquiry commission.
Politics are pushing Airbus to sue Polish governement DGA sent a letter to polish mindef. Polish delegation isn’t anymore an official delegation at Euronaval 2016… (kiddish imho)
Expect more deals to go wary. Partially due to fundung cuts and partially creating bargaining position .

high effective communication even with loitering overhead.

The only reason they don’t hear much Russian, he says, is because the pilots flying overhead “only use frequencies that are difficult for us to intercept.”
you have to look it how inefficient are carriers. months of preparation for pitfull sorties with small bombs/missiles. and many ships tied to protect them in narrow seas like Mediterranean. its better to spend on cruise missile carrying aircraft for round the clock operations.
I dont think you need big dedicated ELINT platform to pick up radiowave signals. After all, even the tiny antenna in your phone can pick up weak GPS signal from Satellite around 20000 km aways. Radar signal would be load more powerful than that. Data link at short range would be powerful too.
there will be no need to send Tu-214R to Syria as every thing can be done from Russia. Su-34 will need a big pod to get same capability and that need to fly very close to target areas. Syria is very target rich area for intellience as Israelis are very close to the border.
The French response seems … unusual?
It is too be expected . for some reason French does not go all the way.
Is the NLCA so much better than the land Tejas? Weit seems IAF is unhappy with Tejas but IN loves theirs.
Indians here often talk about IAF vs MOD issues. but IN seems to run much more smoothly?
NLCA so much better that barely one is built every few years and no one knows loaded reliability from aircraft carrier of an airframe.
IMHO , 5 minutes for all component set up time is grossly underestimate number , didnt the NEBO SVU take over 20 minutes to set up ?.Moreover, to cross networked those SAM batteries together ,you need some sort of link between them. Which either mean electric cable ( not mobile ) or a data link ( which can be detected by RWR ), another problem is that those link are limited by radar horizon , so even those the SAM launched doesn’t have to be at the same place , they cant be positioned very far from each others.
so you are going to find data links on ground connectivity of 5G system. The more you write the less make sense
