Aster range – You’ll never out-range a cruise missile with a SAM, so going after really big ranges is kind of pointless, but Aster 30 manages 120+km and probably a little conservative with that range figure given the size of the booster.

it is not sufficient against Fighters as they can release antiship missile even the smaller one outside that range in saturated attack. the missile cant provide area defence. this missile system belong to small corvettes for dealing with missiles not to a big destroyer dealing with fighters.
