Must be 80×80… A380 only just fits into that… wingspan is around 80m. Sorry!
That’s generally speaking, however most airports adapt to fit what type of operations run through there. For example at LPL stand 1 can take upto a B757, whereas 2-10 can take upto B738/A320 size aircraft as a rule of thumb, as this is the most common size running through there, hence why this summer the TOM B752 has ended up demoted all the way down to stand 11/12 with Empty stands in between the rest of the flightline (had previously used Stand 7A (across 7 and 8) or the new Tango apron (now home to Easyjet)).
Great stuff – that balcony at DUS is fabulous – well worth a visit!
Bloody hell 03:26 in the morning you posted that 😮
😀

… and 01:57 is bad enough tonight – 12am start, 2am finish – liver going to die soon!!!
And at what point did I say it was part of RYR? I mearly stated it was a company charity – much as is RMHC is a McDonalds company approved charity!!!
Sobered up a bit now – perhaps a bad example (RM Stands for Ronald McDonalds), but what I meant to portray was it is a favoured charity of that partcular charity. Can’t express myself anymore – head hurting far too much… 😮

Orbis is not part of ryanair, ORBIS International is an international non-profit non-governmental organization (NGO) focusing on prevention of blindness and the treatment of eye diseases in developing countries. It is best known for its “flying eye hospital”, presently a McDonnell Douglas DC-10. ORBIS is headquartered in New York, with offices in Houston, London, Hong Kong, and Taipei.
In addition to the flying eye hospital, ORBIS operates hospital-based programs in several countries, and works with local medical research and health-care organization on blindness prevention and eye disease treatment. A new program called “Cyber-Sight” uses the Internet to connect ophthalmologists for one-on-one collaboration and mentoring.
Great pictures there love the Blue 1 BAe 146-200 and all EZY shots.

Flytecomm has it going to Athens, departing LBA at 8:10am after arriving from Boston.
Funny how when LUFC were on form HB-IIN / O/ P were regulars, along with IEE, the B752 – How times change!!!
Thanks for the kind comments everyone! Stuart, I was also gonna ask about the Orbis sticker….I flew on that aircraft last week.
I’m pretty sure that Orbis is a Ryanair company charity. If you look a little bit through the press releases on the website you may find a bit more.
It’s alright. Looks crap in photos but looks brilliant in the flesh! Not too fond of that Orange “thing” though.
… funnily enough Titan – one if Jupiter’s Moons!
Boeing B733 TF-ELO Regd G-CELO 17 Feb 06. Reverted back to TF-ELO 07 Jun 06. Anyone any idea why?
Awaiting a Mod to the LFD I understand.
Friday at LPL saw G-THOL opf EZY on a PMI rotation (positioned in from DSA), and I-AIGC of Air Italy on a Futura Mahon Service.
It’s presently being used by BNWA ex Blackpool on lease I understand.
with an Russian built 19 seater LET410.
Czech built I believe, however looks like a good way of offering a feeder service. Many frend on the IOM currently use the EMX / REA flights to LPL to catch EZY / RYR flights onto the continent. With services to 3 Jet2 hubs then hopefully this can be a decent venture. Wonder how they will structure the fares – never been on a LET before!
Also (a bit of an afterthough), but I wonder if the links with Rockhopper / Blue Islands may see some thought of a GCI or JER-LBA Service in the future now the have the JS31’s.
There were others that i could not see , however they already had the monopoly on dumping aircraft we also have
G-SSWO 360
G-SSWA 330
G-OTBA 748
G-ATMI 748
ZS-ODJ 748So i reckon thats 5+already dumped and ten new arrivalls!!
G-SSWA was sold by Emerald and broken up at BLK by it’s new owner.
ZS-ODJ – Not sure of the state of this, but believed to be a Hornblower of South Afria aircraft – we have never operated it as such.
G-ATMI was broken up for spares many years ago, and the Fuse is now used by the AFS i Believe.
G-OTBA is on Mx, G-BIUV and G-SSWO had been in storage.
The 2 Shorts arrivals from ABZ were G-ROND and G-JEMX.
Has anyone heard from Steve?
Still here – keeping the faith! :dev2: Obviously can’t say too much atm:-

G-BMLC

G-SSWR
G-SSWM

Shame to see engineless Budgies.
Guess not long before none are flying in commercial aviation service.
How many do Emerald have left?
Still flying are G-BGMO, G-BGMN, G-AYIM, G-BVOV, G-BVOU, G-OSOE, G-OPFW, G-SOEI, G-ORCP, G-ORAL, G-ATMJ – 12 I think (off top of ma head). G-OTBA should be back in service in a couple of months. Westair still have a fair few in service as well in Europe, plus Stellair may have one of their own flying Vitoria-Madrid for Spanair (mail contract).
Incidentally it is G-ATMJs 40th birthday on the 20th April, originally delivered to Autair in Luton!
