It was me who put that on lba2… 😉 Changed several times in the night as originally it was off to Menorca instead of Manchester. An hour’s a long time in aviation!
G-LSAA was doing Faro I think – can’t remember off top of my head.
If you have a morning Frist Choice flight from GVA then possably. G-LSAB positioned to MAN this morning to operate MAN-GVA and GVA-MAN. Poss a NCL in the middle?
Some great pics there of some diverse traffic! The VC-10 I have to stay was the stunner!
On one occasion Leeds was so full that aircraft were parked on Runway 28, The North-South Taxiway (now Delta) the pan, with smaller prop diversions (jetstreams dornier 328’sand suchlike) over at Northair. A swissair A310 found itself parked for the night on the 14 loop much to the disbelief of the Pilot – oh happy days!
Oh yes – another night I vaguely remember!!
Me thinks the A300 was on Euro 96 day – France vs Spain at Elland road? Bring on a World Cup!!!
Some great pics there – bring back some early memories or Carriers long gone!
Just parked in a corner backlit with loads of clutter, as usual. Did not bother making a photo cause it would I would have thrown it away anyway. Still have not had a good shot of it flying.
In fact, the air base part of EIN closes over the weekend. So because of my work schedule I have not been able to get myself to EIN during a active day. And when I have time of during the week, I prefer to spend it at AMS, DUS or FRA where there are more then two planes an hour.
I would not visit EIN for spotting only. Just visit AMS. EIN has its IL76 air force charters, but they only come in from time to tim so that is a hit or miss excercise.
That wasn’t the plan really – was just somewhere to hitch a lift over to easily to continue onwards from there!
So what? I’m sorry but this is just a normal operating issue which occurs on a daily basis.
Whats the fuss about???
great shots there is eirjet in at pik a lot or a once off
peter
Will be the SNN based unit operating for RYR.
Looking to pop over to EIN sometime in the near future myself – might have to drop you a line!
No RNAF DC-10s about today?
Unfort for me it only plays the sound and not the video!
2 machines were based at LPL, howver this has now reverted to 1x LPL based, and 1x SNN based example.
1. Opinion, not fact. Twice daily services do usually suit the buisness community, correct, however a twice daily routing may not have had the demand for pax carrage, and thus a once daily service provided a Brussles link that was anticipated.
5. If they don’t like it, they wouldn’t book it. I presume they would prefer a one-stop service than non at all!
6. Rennes from JER? Possably so. Regional connections to France are as essential to JER as to the UK, also I personally do not know the inbound JER toursim potential from France to Jersey. Was it possably in colabertion with a local travel agency as many UK runs are? Rennes indeed could be looking to cash in on the success of the like of Aer Arann with their L’orient routes – after all who would have thought they would have so much luck with these runs?
7. BVA is ideal for Disneyland. Perhaps Air Wales were looking to take their share of this market?
2 / 3 / 4 / 8 do have some subsistance in the claims, however with an airline still not turning oprofit yet, can they afford the capital to invest and put too much risk into double daily runs on BHD?
At the end of the day it is all too easy to run an airline from your PC Chair! Try working with it on a day to day basis, and look at some of the unforeseen issues that arise!!!
