yep it was to originally replace the Qantas B744 that had to have a whole new front end put on it after an accident. The reason the Tail is now white is due to complaints from US ATCs i think at LAX about the fact they were confusing the A/C with a BA one due to te “Denmark” tail scheme it used to wear – now it just looks tacky!

yep concorde wud have to be mainly white – if you compare the old BA c/s the Concordes were White in the main, whereas the rest of the fleet was “Pearl Grey”

well from my point of view LOCO doesn’t just mean Ryanair – ok they seem to be a bit of a micky take on destinations – O’Leary is a buisnessman and thats where his heart lies at first it was people who chose Ryanair to be employed with, but ok after 9/11 things have changes. Others such as Easyjet, Southwest and former comapnies such as Go and Buzz didn’t seem to get the same attitude. Pax seem to be prefering to fly LOCO – i know for many of us on here the Joe Public it has certainly increased our horizons. This seems to be in the main a Ryanair problem, although LOCOs have to find some way to survive (lower wages comp to Mainlines), but this may be changing – Selling many seats on a small profit compared to few with a big profit – which is becoming more popular?

i can see both sides tho!

Well whats the Future for UK regional Aviation? – if BA take control will they not try and stop the KLM UK/Cityhopper sucessful through flights to AMS from more or less every regional airport in the Country – it would basically take a big competitor off of BAs hands and they may decide that they want to route this Traffic into their own hub systems? – just a theory anyway!!

would a more accurate view to which is now the maket leader be to compare B737 and A319/20/21 a/c sales in late last say 5 or 6 years? – i have to agree that it seems like just another boeing propoganda spin!
