The ATPs with te LFD are supposed to be runing ths service shortly – but the timins look a it tight if it is the same ATR?

    Good look wiuth the venture!

LPL currently has 2 Eirjet A320s based (EI-DIJ and DKF) covering for a shortage of RYR crews. The Oslo Torp flight routes LPL-TRF-NCL-TRF-LPL and this is when you will have seen her operating. I myself even got a ride on my Torp trip a couple of weeks ago on one!

At the head of some of the Regional stands at the likes of MAN they do actually have mirrors on the stand head for this purpose…

I remember mirrors when I used to fly turboprops into MAN but they were orientated so that from the cockpit you could see the nosewheel in order to know when to stop the aircraft at the right spot when taxying in. I don’t think you could see behind IIRC.

Could be, so the mirrors may remove the requirements for Marshaller assistance onto the stand, but you would then require a marshaller for a Powerback? If this is required, from previous experiance, this would subject hthe marshaller to Prop-wash?

They should have Wingmirrors if they are reversing back of stand 😀

At the head of some of the Regional stands at the likes of MAN they do actually have mirrors on the stand head for this purpose. I think Man only allows aircraft upto ATP size to do this – the JS32s and JS41s do it at most places (often including LBA). It is banned however if pax are waling infront to an adjacent aircraft due Propwash.

I remember seeing a Channel Express A300 three years ago at Bologna in Italy. I guessed it must have been based there as it was not only there when we arrived one afternoon, but the exact same one was there four days later when we flew home.

As far as I Can remember it was a UPS Contract which runs Bologna-Bergamo-Cologne I believe. Correct with the Bologna daystops!

A regular around my normal French haunts as you can see – it was always great to see a well looked after (or even just a flying) Tristar – rare sights nowadays!

Much more reasonable on the prices – I only work with turboprop but even then you were taking at least a dozen times over them – Y64 vs Y150 on A319?

Hi all, sorry to bore you with another thread, however, I have a question about fear of flying courses in the UK.

Can anyone tell me how many airlines/companies currently offer fear of flying courses in the UK – my particular area of interest would be in the South-East of England?

And also what type of aircraft they use for the short flights that they offer?

I know that Virgin, BA and Flybe offer courses that cost around £150-£200 per person, but am not sure of any others so any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

So working 100days a year the Capt is on £300,000 per annum is he… some of those figures are pure make believe… Not bad for a bog standard A319 / 737 Skipper…

Even freelance guys wouldn’t charge half of that for them types.

From LBA it’s only BMI on the London front – also the train links from Leeds are good and fast, but then whats the fun in that??

Manchester’s options… LHR (BMI and BA), LCY (VLM), LGW (BA, Jet2) and STN (Eastern, Air Berlin).

Air Berlin are usually great value and a little differant – direct trains from Leeds City Station to Manchester Airport. Flights are around 6pm in the evening with Air Berlin I think…

EDIT: MAN-STN, Air Berlin, £39 all in – 1820 dep, arr STN 1905.

    Hope it’s of use.

    Ste
