Simply stunning!!!
Treviso is well out of town, with very little activity. 1x Daily SAAB340 of Carpetair and around a half a dozen daily RYR flights account for the sum total of traffic. Mil traffic was few and far between on my last visit. A good VCE gateway on the lo-co scale, but not for the spotter.
Enjoyable day, thanks for the company… lifts not a problem!
Very discrete branding on the Midland and Austrian F70s there… I would have never guessed the previous operators!
Not heard anything official yet… and the Ops guys still answer under the Channex name!
Excellent stuff – something i’d like to try myself, however ‘WC’s training mishap doesn’t warrent it to be torched in my honest opinion!!!!
14 departures have no obsticle issues, however 32 does with the chevin. Everyone moans and groans about Ruwnway length, however the single engine climb profile off 32 is the major factor, not the Rwy length as such.
Awesome shots – great stuff, Tthey bring back some great memories. Speaking of STN Air Berlin users i’ll be down there later in the month – will drop you a PM again!
Preston North End to play Plymouth (later Postponed!)
Tom,
text me on Monday – might be up for a Thursday trip – which may save you a coach fare…
If it’s not airworthy then why would it be registered?
If it’s not airworthy and not registered you cannot rob the spares from it.
Some airlines park up aircraft from service, then rob them of useful spares to support the remainder of the fleet, but to do this and keep track of the parts they must remain registered, albiet not nessecerily as airworthy (for insurance purposes).
This is particularly done by companies operating older generation aircraft where spares sometimes have to be manifactured individually as their production has ceised.
Hope the above makes sense to you!
All the above are Mail except the 730/731P which are newspaper flights for Higgs.
I think Channex only have 6 of their own QC aircraft plus TF-ELM which is the leased Iclandic unit.
None of the LBA or MAN units operate mail flights, and are now I believe purely Pax examples (eg LA Operated for quite sometime on purely LBA runs – usualy the shorter LBA-BFS-LBA-CDG-LBA-BFS-LBA routings due to it’s heavier APS weight with the QC Door).
This doesn’t include the major freight carriers – UPS and FEDEX both have large fleets – much larger than SAS I’d say!
😀 Congratulations!
Can anyone that lives near LBA help me…?
Was Jet2 the first low-cost airline to commence operations out of LBA  , and if so when.
Can you also provide brief details of aircraft fleet and routes flown… 😉
Thanks in advance as always…

Ryanair’s NOC service was the first I believe. DUB commenced around 1996 I think.
Such sad news at this time of year, especially being a young child involved.
Thoughs as said above with the family and FD.
