RE: LOCO !!!
Sorry – missed it!
RE: Left or Right seat ?
Hiya – i did a work experance at a local heliport (ConeyPark HP) and it depends on the helo type. Most Fremch built a/c are the opposite to the norm AND they have tail rotars on the opposite side of the boom – dunno why tho – wont insult the french tho 😉
RE: Jersey Increase!!!
Origionally bmibaby operated 2 733s and a F100, due to other operational commitments with the main airline (i.e. the LBA-LHR flight is a 733). But these flights are been upgraded and replaced as from the winter timetable the LHR run is a A320 flight – so no points for guessing where the 733 is going!!! The F100 will prob then replace the F70 that is going to KLM Cityhopper in October!

A bt more info is required really nick!
RE: THE !!!!!! airliner
The other reason for the singaporee concorde was that singapore were interested in putting in an order, so to see how weel she operated they took out a short-tem lease on the BA 1.
RE: LOCO !!!
The B747/767 fleet are to be operated by Air Atlanta Icelandic
RE: AB Airlines and Aeris.fr
I think Air Belfast was formed as part of a northern ireland peace initiative i think, both with leased BAC1-11s from European Aviation Air Charter, and also flew B733s and had an order in for B737s when the airline folded must have been Autumn/Winter 99?
RE: That’s unfair
arghhhhhhhhhhh – oh well betta luk next time 4 me!
RE: That’s unfair
the old Convair series!!!.. 990 is it??
RE: AB Airlines and Aeris.fr
AB was made up of both Air Bristol and Air Belfast wasn’t it??
RE: Time to divert !!!
Not sure of the exact distance but i think the Air Transat A330 was one of the longest into Lages in the Azores after a failure over the atlantic. The key is to first transfer speed into altitude – at that altitude probably means trying to keep that height for an extra few mins, thenthe most efficient glideslope – this is probably at a low speed and high angle of attack, but the wing mustn’t be stalled or u’ll be desending a lot fast than intended!!! It is well know that due to the design of modern day airliners they can be very efficient gliders, the problem been gliders usually stay close to home as opposed to halfway accross the atlantic!!!
RE: Various interesting things
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 12-09-02 AT 01:07Â PM (GMT)]Cityflyer express are a franchise too with the ATRs and RJ100s, as are British Med with the A320’s/1s although BA do own 320s and 319s
RE: Engine failure
I’m pritty sure it’s within 180mins of a suitable diversion airfield – i seem to remember seing an Air 2000 flight plan for a Boeing 767-300 ETOPS flight to Sandford which named it’s ETOPS diversions as Belfast International (Aldergrove), Keflavic, and Halifax (Canada, not West Yorks!!)
