Antonov AN26 about as exciting as here gets!
Apparantly the 767 was in today, SE-RBV, reading now on Pprune that the 767 is to become regular on LBA-Lahore.
(No idea why, we dont have a Lahore service on a Sunday)
On the freight side of things the 767 could remain a regular even if it isnt filled. With the containerised belly cargo capacity of the 767 it could be quite a handy venture.
Wonder if over the next few days 2 B767s on the ground may be seen at LBA a few times!
It was me who posted it on the due movements, and as it came in from Helsinki not Skavsta there may be the possability it was just a one off due tech aircraft or alike.
Wait and see later in the week what continues to turn up!
Probably utilises the aircraft that runs the Irish PSOs that Aer Arran used to operate.
Had a fair few trips on her and WF in aprticular – hope they refurbished the interior as it was in a bit of a state!
PH-RSA is based at LBG operating for Cartier (the watch people!).
Your title requests a B737-2M8, when the TF-ELM I know of is a B737-3M8QC with c/n 24021. This can be viewed at http://www.airliners.net/open.file/813108/L/ and was last noted flying for FlyGlobespan.
Does Iceland re-use registrations?
First Choice dont tend to do Lapland flights from airport they dont have a regular schedule from (e.g. LBA, HUY) so that is why I think there could be more. And I am sure the Kent market could support a weekly PMI, TFS or DLM, especially as the latter two dont have any EU Jet competition
Winter season, Transun day trips are snapped up by the charter airlines who, with it been out of season, have a surplus of aircraft to fill. Whether they can find Transun (or alike) contracts, go off to the States and Canada, or do Hadj, its just work for the aircraft.
The transun contrtacts I have know have generally lead to an aircraft of MYT, AEU, FCA etc operating out of an airfiled doing differant destinations each day for maybe a few days or a weeks spell Monday Shopping in Salzberg, Tuesday Whale Watching in Norway, Weds Kids to meet Santa etc, however they also position in for one off day trips only.
757s have already been parted out I believe also… – neither for or against Airbus btw.
From my point of view the Embraer aircraft dont seem as sturdy as say the F100 or Boeing aircraft, wonder how long it is before the first E145 is parted out…
http://www.airliners.net/open.file/689369/M/ – a 1984 example scrapped in 2004 – 20 years old.
On high cycle airframes, or aircraft due a major check it may be more valuable to sell the parts, as appears to have happened in both these cases.
The paris city pics really emphisise the quality of the camera (and Photographer) there – great shots.
T’was the first time I had seen the Connie fly, and I was impressed by the machine, sounded great as she taxied in!
On the hoistoric front it depends what you call historic! Compared to many of the exhibits the Tornado may be classed as historic, thinking of it the F16 is 70s airframe.
The only historic Jet as such I can remember was the Vampire.
T2 for me and DME as well, what a sh*thole that is… 😮
If you think T2 is bad – wait until you experiance the delights of T1!
Just home guys, our CDG takeoff was somewhat delayed by sitting on a taxi-way watching AF after AF plane jumping the line at the further away threshold.
Nice time in Paris, red as a lobster, photos to come… 😀
