RE: BEA Airspeed Ambassadors
oops!! – well i thought it waqs spelt ashley for a lad and ashleigh for a lass!! – sorry!!
RE: Concorde fest.!
There’ only one a/c that looks so gud!!
RE: Teesside News Update
Just a note for the spotters – it could well be a Cityhopper F70 a/c as Leeds is getting extra F70 flights to suppliment the 3x daily F100 runs – i think the UK F100’s are at near full utilisation now the F50s are been retired.
RE: Monarch
hmmmm – at Teeside it will prob b a 752 or A320 – i’ll try and have a scout around for ou – i’d hazard a guess at A320 tho
RE: Farnborough pics
the A340-500 was rolled out several months back in it’s primer colour scheme and was then worked on internally by the Airbus engineers installing flight data equiptment etc – i think it has been flying since springtime – neone confirm this??
The connection B737-42C is a demonstrator for a US technology company providing in-flight entertainment and alike thru high-speed datalinks for Internet/WAP/SMS technology for airlines such as Virgin wh oare at the upmost end of the market.
RE: Boring spotting day
Somethign i have noticed about spanish airports is they use the Follow Me trucks a hell of a lot more than in the UK -is this common thruout europe??
RE: I Give Up !!!
I’ve been on flights where “apparently” ppl have been smoking – even on a 2hr leg of the flight – what do u do if a fire breakes out in mid-air?? – pull over to the side of airway bravo 1, ask every1 to get out whilst the firemen help u?? – especially on a 180min ETOPS situation?? – i know accidents do happen, but for the sake of something like this which is avoidable is it not common sense to try and Curb the problem?? – i know it wasnt caused by a smoker but look at the devistation a fire such as the Channel Tunnel fire when a train caught alight an was unaccessable for 15 MINS!!! – Hows about desending from 37,000ft??? hmmm – surely common sense prevails!
RE: Pic Of The Day-Spectacular!
Is the hill in the background where there was the Crossair inncident? – is it something like Rwy 09?
RE: guess the airline!
Yea that models are right – haven’t got time to research the airlines tho
RE: I Give Up !!!

RE: Charters pulling out….
No worries
RE: Visitor to BHX 18/7/02
blue/green – the Usbeki 763! – we’ve had a divert from u with them so maybee!!
RE: Im pleased with myself
1. – THEY HAVE TO BE BASED!!!! – otherwise insurance is a huge problem
2. – Preferably have their own handling services – e.g. bmi use their own at nm as opposed to servisair.
3. – Dont go looking for glamour – no airline is gonna put u on a flight a day – u’ve to hack the paperwork and oddjobs too – i didn’t mind this side – i did loadsheets, flight hours and allsorts. I was also lucky as in the company owner was my boss – therefore if he wanted to go flying he’d drag me along and the fact LBA closed and we got 3 diversions also helped!
4. U need good referances – school and a job will b best but also any organisations u’re in are gud – scouts etc
5. – Allow plenty of time – it took me over 6 months to get it all thru health and safety risk assesment etc (thats school covering their backs!)
RE: Charters pulling out….
We had the 762’s for a couple of years on the Palma route, but due to their replacement with the 763 which operates scheduled services we now get 2 738 flights instead – which seems to me to equal a higher number of available seats!!
