Dammit, now you’re making it sound like Boeing’s attempt to sell 767s to the US Air Force for tankers! 😀 :diablo:

    Andy

Im neither for A or B, but what really p*sses me off is how the Boeing fan group keep moaning about Airbus subsidies and alike. Its funny how the US govt will only buy Boeing (fair enough, supporting its own etc), but then they moan about subsidies and alike from the European Union and its member states – its all funding in a differant light.

Lets think of the USAF/USN inventary…

    Boeing C40
    Boeing B52
    Boeing C17
    Boeing F15A/B/C/D/E
    Boeing C/KC-135
    Boeing AV8B Harrier

    or other American built types…

    GD F16
    Lockheed C130
    Douglas KC10
    Douglas C9 Nightingale
    Sikorsky Helos

The only none American types (or American build) is the Hawk! – Oh yea and now the new Merlin helos!

Depends how near to the back your sitting! bmi offer ear plugs on their F100 flights to the passengers in the last couple of rows as you can’t hear a thing! Hehe!!! :p

Since December I have flow 14 times on F70s and F100s of both KLM and bmi – have sat on the very back row with both carriers and have never been offered earplugs! The noise isn’t excessively bad anyway.

Have to agree with loving the 748, but then I am slightly biased!

I think the MD80, like most modern aircraft, is refueled from underneath, maybe the ladder is for fuel measuring by dipstick

Yea Steve, this is known as pressure refuelling and is the norm, however an alternative if there is a problem with the Pressure refuelling system is to fuel from the top of the wing instead. Could be the reason.

Yeah, I dont blame you, I wish (As much as I hate them), Leeds were still in all the cups and europe, we had days like that at LBA back then 🙁

I remember the Valencia game – just the odd Corsair Jumbo here and there spiced things up! Not often you get 2 on the ground in these parts, but it wasn’t the first time!

    Great pics there!
