would hazard that England (as a country) has the most, if not the UK as a collation of England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales – and the only islands i know of are IOM, IOW and Guernsey?

great circle distances as detailed on many flight plans would be good – MAN-AGP = 1007nm, MAN-TFS 1647nm etc

hi all – slight inaccuracies in this story.

There was indeed a microlight, a Cheokee and an unspecified twin-prop a/c which caused the trouble. The Reds had actually arrived at the display and done their opening fly by along Rwy 26 and it was at approx 08 threshold that Red1 spotted an infringement which he puleed out of formation to investigate, the other two then followed afterwards and to cut a long story short – they buggered off again! – got some excellent seats for the monday display though!

Other highlight was getting on the multiflight BBJ2 on the Sun which was again a great treat for me!

I thought SZD wouldn’t accept singles, and that was why it never got much GA in – are you sure he aint flying from Netherford is it?

Meanwhile you have to travel all day to find a Victor and all month to track down a Valiant.

you mean like the one i saw at BLK for the first time the other day! Fly your Colt up to Elvington SUnday/Monday and you’ll see ya Victor… on a high speed taxi!

a/c are usually dictated by pax! As a rule buisnessmen like high speed “jet” a/c to do the job ASAP, so where the buisnessmen are, usually you will find the biz-jet. As for the p;robs, differant sizes basically suit the differant pax demands – why bung an ATR-2 on a route if their is only a demand for 17pax per flight?

surprised CVT didn’t put in a tender again for RYR operations, they seem keen to get a LO-CO operator in to bolster the daytime operations!

i’ve always took the jet2 PIK and BOH romours quite seriously – think of it this way – BOH and PIK both have several based B733s and crew bases (Channex and FlyGlobespan). All these companies are one and the same, being operated from Channex at BOH and owned by Dart Aviation/Channex – keep ya ears open on those rumours!
