My god, that Corsair 763 has already had three airlines operating it this year. Started off at Garuda went to Britannia and now at Corsair. Anyone know why its at Corsair? Or is it just them swapping and changing aircraft as they are both part of the Tui group?
yea Corsair needed the extra capacity – is the a/c now back with BAL now Corsair have the extra A330

FlyGlobespan i can believe if they’ve struck a deal with BAA – they bring in XX number of flights with a year on year growth for a reduced fee.
The latter BA Conc romour seems very interesting, but somehow i cannot see it happening…
ATPs are earmarked for freighter conversions – Wait and see by October!!!!

Plane lands safety after mayday call
A Ryanair passenger plane landed safely at Stansted Airport in Essex on Monday afternoon after sending a mayday message to flight controllers.
The Boeing 737-200 with between 100 and 150 passengers and crew on board, landed at 1425 BST.
A spokesman for Stansted Airport told BBC News Online the aircrew had reported a suspected engine problem.
The plane had taken off from Luton Airport and was bound for Dublin.
No one was hurt in the incident.
Flights at Stansted were delayed until 1600 because of the unscheduled landing
it depends – if the a/c stopped on the runway at Stansted it would be the case – its only a single runway operation there – anyone heard anything yet?
nice attempt starjet – whats so bad about the current AD liv?
i’ve sent a PM to Andrew RE this subject – i think for many it may be better a little later in the year, flight deals the main reason for most, although would not affect me personally – i’ve got holiday and work commitments now
1st week of August is only 2 weeks away – flights filling up quick!!!
Right i’m prob gonna get slated for this…
I read through every AAIB report published, journals of accidents, how they’ve happened and whats gone wrong – most importantly WHY????
I believe that everyone involved in the day to day workings as well as some of these Arrogant passengers who go onboard making their demands should have the oppertunity to see what can happen.
Opps that mobile phone i was sending a text from on a CAT3 ils approach which interfeared with and distorted the ILS beam on a 2 mile final made us desend below a glideslope and clip a house on finals – here are the consiquenses. These people may take their actions a little more seriously
Pictures are a huge accout of the events that happened or lead up to an incident – what about people watching CCTV of the last known movements of a murder victim – help or hinderance is it? Trying to jog peoples minds as to if they’ve seen the victim etc
This topic is a very sensative subject and ALL VIEWS SHOULD BE RESPECTED
oi! leqave it alone – i like it, its differant alrite, but so are the companies operations!
wasn’t it a Comair a/c? I remember the ZS- Reggie
the company that i start work for in less than a month has quite a number of HS748s, as do Westair of sweden – but they are all Freight varients in the main
yea i like em! thats why i hate airbridges!
G-BKWB, built in 1978, also flew in the colours of Yorkshire European Airways. It became G-OEAB, then in due course went to BAC Leasing, before transferring to the Dutch register, then coming back to the UK as G-OBPL.
It’s sister aircraft G-BTAA, followed a similar career, becoming G-OEAA, but was detroyed in 1995. Not sure of the circumstances.
A very sad day that was – i remember it well. I first heard of the crash on the way to take my sister to a dancing show. The a/c came down after a departure from Leeds Bradford whilst flying for Yorkshire European Airways trading partner/company known as Knight Air who at the time operated 3 E110s from Leeds.
The AAIB site seems to be down atm – i’l put the addy up later 🙁
