hmmm i cant see this going that well until Baby commit the based a/c at MME, Possably gonna be a bit too much competition from Leeds and Newcastle with Jet2 and Easyjet?
excellent stuff ren – cheers!
i’d have actually said B752 on it – please correct me if wrong
i like the preflight speach “Ladies and Gentlemen welcome on board today on our Jet2 (Jet to) Barcelona!
Considering off the top of my head Easyjet fly from BFS to Liverpool (8x!), Newcastle, Luton, Gatwick, East Mids, Bristol, Glasgow and Edinburgh off the top of my head if Jet2 dont pick it up, it’d be nice to see easy do so.
LBA is a primary Easy divert field for LIV. Examples include 4 diverting a/c when the BA ATP landed with a main gear up at LPL, and the MD83 Spanair incident where again several easyjet a/c diverted in over Manchester. They were very happy with the service they got. Shame there was a **** up when the bmibaby diverted in feb – the a/c got 8 diverts in about an hour, and the baby been the last inbound a/c was left “coachless!”
she gets about a bit! I saw her for the first time today at MAN too!!
i’m 99% sure the MYT B752s have 233 pax and the BAL B752s 235, or the other way around!
i should be easy to spot – i’ll wear my AW Grey polo shirt!
the T1 cafe area is a large glade window front looking out over approx 20 gates and you can see a/c taxxiing to both runways – easy reggies with binocs. It was basically the original viewing area showing the oldest part of the terminal – will post some picices tomoz eve – i’m in Liverpool andManchester tomoz including the Airports.
my trick is to youth hostel as much as poss to reduce the price. I will shortly be pulling out hostel prices if i get the nod from people!
It was certainly a good tester to BCN
hi Kev, i reiniterate the above statements as per your uncle,
i still think that at present the T1 cafe area would b our best option, this is due to the fac some are arriving by road – car park available, some by train, skywalk access to train, and others by Palane arriving at T1 and T3.
The T1 area view a few stands and although not exactly ideal for most can gain viewing access of most a/c passing for both Runways. It has access for Kev in his chair, toilets and food outlets. I should be arriving before 11 (lol the good old British Train network!)
If the weather is nice you also have the option of T2 rooftop which is 5 mins max away. Kev do you know if ou get free airport parking with your pass?
great pix!
