I would be interested to see pictures of the Harvards used in these operations .

There used to be the copula or maybe two at the Transport Museum at Wanaka , from memory they were probably from a Sunderland . An old armourer told me that one of the jobs he had to do during the war was to replace all the glazing in the Anson and Oxford turrets as they distorted in the summer heat in NZ .

I can’t be certain, but I reckon that’s Panshanger. The trees behind the tail certainly fit.

This picture fits my recollection too .

Was this the aircraft photographed languishing at Tangmere post war ? I believe MPM or Special Hobby have a 1/72 scale kit with RAF markings as a decal option .

Pretty sure there is a Gemini at Dairy Flat , under restoration to fly , might belong to Stan Smith .

I think it was normal practice for the time , I am sure the Portsmouth Aerocar was also shown in advertising on wheels , floats and skis .

I visited Panshanger more than once in those days , and my recollection was that the last time the aircraft was in a sorry state and I think it was sitting on its tail , I am pretty sure it was beyond flying out again , it may well have been engineless . There was also an airworthy red and whitw Dragon Rapide

Thanks for that , were there more aircraft broken up here ? What was the story here , was this just a tired old airliner , bought for parts and scrapped ? How did a Canadian aircraft end up here in Hertfordshire ?

The 5 decimal points are easy , it is the legal one that is difficult , litigation , potentially costly on several levels .
However those WW1 engines are appearing sourced from NZ , Beardmore , RAF and Bentley I believe .

I am not sure the Mosquito had too much support within the powers that were in control at the time , was it not also known as “Freemans Folly” ?
