Why are Americans so obsessed with guns anyway….?

Its in their constitution ,to bear arms or arm bears ,one or the other 😀
I think they see it as their right.
Its not only the yanks who have a fascination with guns i too can admit to being a shooter and have owned many types of firearms over the years.But i can honestly say i ,have never shot at or even contemplated killing an animal.
What if the things we kill in our lifetime come to meet us on our death. 😮

I’m a typical winging brit any country apart from home really,
Australia=Its to hot,will that bite me.
Russia=its too cold,will that bite me.
USA=its to busy here,dose that bite.
If i had to pick one specific place then it would have to be WALES.

I made my feelings about hunting in this tread earlier,but i must say what is annoying me so much is the attitude ,that because people live in towns they don’t under stand the ways of the country, that’s a bit of a broad statement don’t you think, Also that hunting in any form is a SPORT, i take sport to mean a competition, between teams or persons of equal abilities, not animals against the king of the food chain.I believe it will be a long time for this disagreement to be resolved, pro hunt and anti hunt,because its in our genetic makeup to hunt from our caveman days,just some of us have evolved since then.

Not around here I’m not. Deer are so stupid they deserve to be eaten.

In the country you are as a whole,deer stupid enough to be decapitated and displayed as a trophy i think not…….

Snapper your right that us TOWNIES don’t understand the mentality of the rural way of life apart, from the idea that if its available in the supermarket why go out killing it.
Its not the point of killing our small or in j33nelsons case ,bloody big furry animals that arouses the disgust in us TOWNIES,its the point of boasting to the world of how clever you are at doing it,if you use dog or gun don’t go around bragging about it.Remember your in a minority.

Are you a vegan with plastic shoes? For Gods sake grow up. He has cleanly killed an organic animal that is not being wasted (bar it’s bones I guess, but who needs glue?). Wait until the government realise that there are too many foxes and all the rabbits/pheasants/partridges/ducks are dead. then see. Remember what they did in the 1950’s when there were too many rabbits? Myxamatosis. And I STILL see rabbits dying really badly through that. I also see dead deer on the roads rotting away on a weekly basis. There’s a food chain, and whether you like it or not we are in it.

You see j33nelson the response you get from this side of the pond, is that of a country that has band fox hunting and frowns upon hunting of most types ,even though it puts fellow country men out of work.
You may be very proud of the buck you shot but my advice is not to post your glee,as the reaction is that of disgust as most people live in the real world ,were killing of an innocent animal unless you need to for self defence or survival is necessary.
