Alright, that’s some of the information that I was looking for.
Finally, what kind of information do you have on Tor-M1 integration into S-300/400 systems? Are they one per TEL, one per battery, or what? When Tor-M1s are deployed with them, do they also bring a Ranzhir-M along, or would that be unnecessary?
Thanks in advance, very much.
Logan Hartke
Apart from Tor-M1, there will (most certainly) be other anti-air missile complexes that will be integrated with with the S-300/400 systems.
One possible future candidate may be a development of the RVV (amraamsky) air-air missile. It is called RVV-AE-ZRK. Here is a pic of it.

Another candidate could be the VITYAZ system. Details about it at http://www.dtig.org/docs/MSAM-MRADS-Vityaz.pdf
What recent aquisition? They only received some two dozen MiG-29s and 12 Su-24 in the early 90’s – nothing important since than.
They also have received a few Su-25s.
The majority of their air force is of western origin. Estimates of flyable aircraft vary.
The MAKS 2007 show in Moscow is only a couple of months away.
I have a feeling we will get a lot of questions about the PAK-FA (and other projects) answered.
Kh-31PK is a new version the Kh-31 missile.

it says work on the ALPHA missile has stopped even though the Su-34 continues to be displayed with a mockup of that missile.
That probably means they are looking for a foreign buyer to help fund the completion of development.
I agree with you 100%.
The photo of the actual missile on the prototype is from the 1990’s. Funny they show it again at the MACS show in 2005…
I wouldn’t write off the ALPHA completely even tough they say that they have suspended the development. That is my humble opinion.
By the way, I have seen a poster of the ALPHA missile with a nose that looked similar to the YAKHONT/BRAHMOS missile. The poster also mentioned that the missile has air, ground and sea launched variants. Unfortunately I can’t find the picture of that poster:mad:
Al’fa missile (3M51) was a prototype of concept for the 3M54E missile now used on the Klub system.
Its R&D have been stopped, and an air launched version of 3M54E should be called 3M54A, as much as the cruise missile version is called 3M14AE (export).
NO, NO, NO
The Alpha missile I posted above have nothing to do with the KLUB missile family (developed by the NOVATOR bureau). Apart from name, they have nothing in common.
The air-launched version of the KLUB cruise missile is called KALIBER. Here is a picture. Note that it is completely different from the ALPHA missile I am talking about.

My first post.
The little known ALPHA missile’s development is associated with the Su-34 Fullback.
