There is absolutely no evidence of Russian involvement in the PL-12 or SD-10 .

Otherwise, they would be testing it from a Su27Sk or J-11. It was tested from J-8II.

PL-12 is not seen on a Russian platform in either Russia or China. It is seen on two Chinese platforms, the J-10 and J-8II. The SD-10, which might or might not be the PL-12 is seem on yet another Chinese platform.

At any rate, AGAT has explicitly denied involvement to Jane’s.

Jane’s Missiles and Rockets, August 2004. Even the name of the official, Akopyan, was listed:

“Recent press reports on China’s new SD-10 radar-guided air-to-air missile have commented on the similarity between the front section of the Chinese missile and that of the Vympel R-77/RVV-AE (AA-12 ‘Adder’). This has led to suspicions that the seeker of the Chinese missile is based on the Russian weapon’s AGAT 9B-1348 active-radar seeker, or is a customised 9B-1348 variant developed for China by AGAT.

Export contracts have conditions of confidentiality and information can only be released by the agreement of both sides, commented Akopyan. However, the Institute is not working with the Chinese, he said, dismissing the concept that the SD-10 has an AGAT seeker as “hot air” and “a fantasy of reporters”.

That placard is from a model show. The info is written by an enthusiast not anything official.

From the 2005 Annual report on China from the Pentagon. (Is there another document from the Pentagon which is reported with such fervour every year?)

Lots of vague, inflamatory stuff, especially the defense budget which is claimed to be $90 billion or more than three times the offical budget of $26 billion. No clue as to how exactly they came up with that number.

Some aviation ietms in the report.

•Air Power. China has more than 700 aircraft within un-refueled operational range of Taiwan. Many of these are obsolescent or upgrades of older-generation aircraft.

However, China’s air forces continue to acquire advanced fighter aircraft from
Russia, including the Su-30MKK multirole and Su-30MK2 maritime strike aircraft.

New acquisitions augment previous deliveries of Su-27 fighter aircraft. China is also producing its own version of the Su-27SK, the F-11, under a licensed co-production agreement with Moscow. Last year, Beijing sought to renegotiate its agreement and produce the multirole Su-27SMK for the remainder of the production run. These later generations of aircraft make up a growing percentage of the PLA Air Force inventory.

•China’s indigenous 4 th generation fighter, the F-10, completed development in 2004 and will begin fielding this year. Improvements to the FB-7 fighter program will enable this older aircraft to perform nighttime maritime strike operations. China has several programs underway to deploy new standoff escort jammers on bombers, transports, tactical aircraft, and unmanned aerial vehicle platforms.

•China is acquiring from abroad or developing advanced precision strike munitions, including cruise missiles and air-to-air, air-to-surface, and anti-radiation munitions.

•The PLA appears interested in converting retired fighter aircraft into unmanned combat aerial vehicles (UCAVs). China has hundreds of older fighters in its inventory that could be converted for this purpose.

Blue Sky seems too big for the pod in the JH-7A. Besides the end seems to be sharpened.

I wouldn’t be so sure, the JH-7 is a huge plane. In fact, it looks comparable to the size of a LANTIRN pod when seen on a F-15 or F-14 (and the JH-7 is bigger than either of those.)

The pod is drawn much bigger than life in the advertisement poster.

Ofcourse there are no documents online that say “israel gave china DSI tech from the F-35”, but its in wide speculation isi’nt it ?? ..like Israel gave China the Patriot missile’s tech and denied doing so, like the Python-3 & 4, like Harpy’s, Lavi designs and loads of high end tech, tech from the F-16 used on the Lavi, etc…

So basically, you’re making this up.

At any rate, let me explain like this. The diverterless supersonic intake is not an American “design” like the AIDS drugs that US companies spent billions researching and creating (and which India was able to steal and sell to the third world at cheap prices because they never paid for the research. The moral question not being relevant to this discussion – simply that those drugs were created by Americans and then copied by Indians.) DSI is a concept.

Now, any aircraft industry could attempt to put that concept into practice. It doesn’t belong to the US any more than the idea of diverter plates belonged to the US. What you could get from the US is the data involved with the F-16 DSI program. But what good is that data since you are using a very different configuration on the FC-1 (two side intakes instead of a belly one)?

As for F-35, if China had access to the DSI data for that plane then why not the whole plane itself?

Israel was never at a point where it was actually involved in the F-35 project. It was considered as one of the possible partners before the Harpy dustup. But it is being punished by the US and left off the project.

So Israel didn’t have any parts of the F-35 program to give (unless it clandestinely took information not openly given to it.)

Dragons and flames go hand in hand..no secret in that one….but golden will you please cool down and get back to china related topics and tell me….from where did China get the DSI intake technology….is it true that Israel leaked it from the F-35 ????

BTW : here is a great read on DSI technology http://www.codeonemagazine.com/arch…vertless_1.html

😀 I have to say, Stealth Spy, you’re a pretty sneaky one. Lots of little insinuating questions.

Show me a link or name the publication where anyone said Israel leaked DSI to China from the F-35 and I’ll give you an answer.

I’ll make it a point to answer only one Indian since I wish to avoid the idiocy of people purposely crossing up posts and responses.

I’ll answer you, Stealth Spy, and none other.

Now you are in trouble, please show ME WHERE I HAVE REPEATEDLY BROUGHT UP THE WS-10 ISSUE ON AN INDIAN THREAD. not interested in flaming are we? why LIE THEN?

 The idiotic trick of a flamer and his sophomoric way of getting someone in “trouble.” The stupidity of this kind of foolishness.

It would make your day to get me in “trouble,” wouldn’t it, Internet warrior?

The nationalistic idiocy of this 😀

You are going to baldfacedly lie and say that I’m accusing you of bringing in the WS-10 in the LCA thread when you know full well knows it’s Stealth Spy? Arthur had set this thread up because one of your Indians was intent on flaming and spreading lies that were mainly unanswered in the LCA thread.

Obviously, your whole intention is to flame when you inserted yourself into the “conversation” I was having with the Indian who started this. It was Stealth Spy who brought up China in the LCA and it was him who mentioned India repeatedly here.

Grow up and debate without feeling hurt all the time or simply stop bringing India into Chinese threads.

May I also add that all Indian origin drugs sold in the US have the approval of the US Govt, obviously Golden Dragon did not know. One wonders why he always tries to bring unrelated subjects that HE HAS ABSOLUTELY NO KNOWLEDGE ABOUT on ws-10 threads?

One wonders why an Indian would repeatedly bring up Indian idiocies on a WS-10 thread which in turn came about when the same Indian for some idiotic reasons repeatedly brings up the WS-10 on a LCA thread – a thread I’ve left untouched because unlike you I’ve no interest in flaming.

Now, your Indian cohort had tried to insinuate that India is somehow more “honorable” than China in not copying engines and I gave him my opinion on India’s copying of the things that it is capable of copying.

If you dislike this opinion of that India “steal” (quoted directly from American public television) then kindly take your nationalistic ego-massaging elsewhere and you won’t an response from me. There is no reason for him to bring up India in this thread nor was there reason for him to bring up the WS-10 in the LCA thread.

in any event there is no point in wasting bandwith with idiotic nationalistic logic. Let us move on to Chinese products and not have the orgasm to include India everytime.

We would move on to Chinese subjects and I hope you Indian fellows would drop from this thread your nationalistic and irrelevant comments (which are nothing but idiotic Indian ego-boosting guided by a stupid, misplaced and delusional sense of rivalry tinged with dumb jealousy.)

You move on and I’ll move on. This will be last post in regards to your nation, Sameer. Take your Indian-centric comments back to a thread that isn’t Chinese related and everything will be fine.

hehe these americans must really be stupid to sign an agreement with violators of “copyright” (try patent) laws.
    :

Playing around with words won’t change the fact that India copies the things it’s able to copy. Its not “honor” that precludes it from copying engines. It’s the lack of ability to copy engines.

Again, the terms used by Americans about Indian copying is explicit – note terms “reverse engineer”, “copy” and “steal.” This is from American public television.

    http://www.pbs.org/newshour/bb/health/jan-june01/india_03-15.html

    “Reverse engineering
FRED DE SAM LAZARO: The reason Indian drug companies can sell Sildinafil and hundreds of other drugs so cheaply is that they reverse engineer or copy the newest medicines, many still under patent to multinational companies like MERCK and Pfizer, and they can do it legally. In 1970, the Indian government passed a law that it said would put the nation’s interests ahead of profit to multinational corporations. ”

“ALAN HOLMER: There’s a vast body of evidence that raises severe questions with respect to the quality and the effectiveness of the medicines that are being made available by the companies that steal the ideas of others and then try to make products on their own. The American pharmaceutical industry takes enormous pride in the quality of our products, and there is a very significant issue in India with respect to the quality of the products that are being produced by these companies.”

I think you should stick to discussing linlin and lun lun and ding dongs with the rest of your madrassa educated bretheren

India actually has laws that allow its companies to steal intellectual property of the world drugs companies. It is able to copy drugs and it does. It isn’t able to copy engines and it doesn’t.

There’s nothing “honorable” about the decision to copy or not. It’s about the technical ability in regards to the item in question.

Bad english? That arguments makes anyone believe you are basically saying that russia has no radar system anywere near as capable as it is on 052C. If you didnt mean that why didnt correct yourself 6 posts back instead of typing more pathetic name callings By knockoff i mean copyoff of some land based radar ofcourse which is what most say that radar is. You need learn and express yourself so that you can come up with proper replies instead of childish insults.

Don’t give me that garbage. My first post to you was this:

“Capable or not is besides the point. The Russian/former Soviet Republic systems are nothing like the 052C’s so it is idiocy to claim any connections between the two. We don’t see anything similar on Russian destroyers.”

I made it explicitly clear that I was talking about the idiot assumption that there is any connection between the Russian/Ukrainian systems and the 052C’s.

On the other hand, you attempted time and again to make idiotic comments like you “think” it’s not capable and that Russia has many unimplemented R&D projects which is a stupid and idiotic response even for the miscontrued assumption you supposedly thought I was making.
