Ohhh … very sad news for the LCA and I have to admit I already question the project as a whole one. (To be harsh, but the currently only reason for it was to act as a technical demonstrator and a learing program for the Indian Aviation industry) … anway more that sad for that nice type.
Anyway I that makes the MMRCA-program even more intresting.
And finally I agree with You in regard to the FGFA !

No, they are at the “Big Duck” stage already :p

.. yes i am familiar that China decide to use the other training aircraft JJ9 but i do not think the FAV is interested in that very much and I am very much surprised Chinese Air Force choose that over L15
Again … simply because the JL-9 was ready for delivery much earlier because of powerplant related problems … and besides that if China has anything close to the AL-55 is aganin not the question as long as the engines for the L-15 will be delivered and the customer is satisfied.
I’m sure, if the tests will be successfully completed, the PLAAF will buy the L-15.

Hey … once again !
It all started with a simply but maybe strange (or to say unrealistic in mind of the J-20) question and after onl ytwo replys once again we are in a fight on J-20 vs. T-50 supporters … and that all when nearly nothing is known on the J-20 and even more on the things posted are dumb assumptions.

The Yak-130 is a more mature design – and is now entering operational service with the RusAF – and shortly with Algeria…
Yes … but in the end it depends on politics, price and replacement-scheduldes … and if the VAF need’s a supersonic capability.
The L-15 apparently had design help from Yakovlev – hence the similarity.
But I don’t think it has actually been chosen yet by the PLAAF ??
Once again YES, … esp. the last point is interesting. At the moment it seems as if a small batch of the JL-9 is introduced into limited service with both the PLAAF and PLANAF, since the L-15’s development has been delayed by powerplant problems. On the other side – at least I hope so – the L-15 seems to offer greater capabilities, higher performances in comparison to the JL-9 and the PLA seems to be still “interested”.
Last info from a few weeks ago was, that small batch production has been started.
Anyway an interesting question, eevn if I can’t think of a J-20 in VAF service.

..
Real or PS ?
Can’t see anything … and the link itself can not be opened !???
maybe not Algerian. In This month or last month Combat Aircraft Magazine it has a section on Algerian AF written by Tom Cooper..
it said that the Algeran AF frustrated by the inability to get the Yak-130s cancelled the order and the funds went to get more SU-30MKA.. making it the cheapest Flanker sold to anyone ever. They decided to upgrade the L-39s with Czech help afterthat.
so maybe those are ex-Libyan.
NO … via the Acig.forum:
1- It’s the new standard camo in the AAF, the same used on the SU-24s, L-39s, AS-355s, Mi-171s
2- The position of the marking are the same as on the Algerian L-39s
3- We can see the same caracters of the serial as used on our L-39
4- One of my friends is actually in formation on this planes 😉

http://www.aex.ru/photo/irkut/P7183906.jpgYak-130 destined for Libya that will likely end up in the RuAF…or an Algerian.
These are already Algerian ones !!
:eek::D;)
Chian’s pics
the J-20′ open bays are FAKE !!
Once again me with something strange and esp. in mind of the latest Chinese fake I’m quite unsure. On the other hand “Weimeng” is one of the most reliable photographer around in China … but maybe again a Psed Fake or even simply a “foreign” UAV taken by him !???
