It takes a while … but it’s worth to take a look !!! :diablo:

… below is a short “pre-view”
Cheers, Deino 😀
Deino, both of these concepts remind me of the Brough P.163 lightweight fighter study of 1981?
Hmmm  … could be as there are some certain similarities between both ! You think of a British-designed lightweight fighter during the early days of good Western-Chinese-relations before the Tiananmen ???
Was there ever a naval proposal of the P.1563 ???
Deino
… and just found after re-examination !!!
Is this a new primary-trainer behind ???
I don’t know if there was ever a light-weight-fighter project from SAC after the J-11 and J-13  … here’s another one !
Any idea what’s that …. just a modeller’s dream or an older long-dead project ??? (found at the secret-projects page posted by rousseau) !!
Deino
I think the single seaters based at Keyfkavik carried them for their long-range patrols !
Deino
New WZ-10 pic shot in Xi’an
Seems that there are some “updates” in the IR suppressors !?
…. and a JH-7A + laser-target-designator-pod ! 😀
Deino
Besides these confusing Flanker-designations – Thanks Ken for making clear ! 😉 – do You have any information about a possible interest in the “twin-seater” Su-33UB ??
Deino
Chinees already bought from Ukraine T-10K (early experimental Su-33) ….
Sorry if I missed anything ! But when did China bought the T-10K from the Ukraine ????
Deino
Just found at Huitong’s page …
The latest images indicated that PLAAF JH-7As are equipped with LT-2 LGB and KD-88 TV guided ASM.
… additional the blue AAM on the wingtip looks like a PL-7 ????
I thought that AAM never entered PLAAF-service !!!
Any comments
Our J-8II friend with its LS-6
Seems to proove that these tests are quite further advanced than we thought … and definitly no PS !!! :diablo:
Besides … it also looks not like a PL-8s or R-73 missile but more like some kind of an instrumentation pod as I suggested …. any other suggestion H or F-version ???
Additional a FT-1 under a JH-7 …
Thanks for posting, Deino
Can anyone help … is this a new version of the YJ-62 !???! … a PS ???
Cheers, Deino
This pic is from the ceremony of the Taihang’s certification. (Or is it inauguration of its production). Unlike the engine featured in Zhuhai, if you look closely at the engine on the back, this one has the accessories on top.
Looks like there are indeed two versions of the engine.
Yes …. and the pedals of the afterburner exhaust are shorter than on the previous released photo – which is for my opinion only a AL-31F – very similar to the pedals on the WS-10 testbed monted on the J-11 !
Deino 😀
Very interesting pictures, besides J10, what else did you see? 😀
Looks like a stealthy fighter in the first picture ! 😀
Deino
And of course this curved Miss AL41 –model 😀
Are You sure that this is a AL-41 ???? … it has its gearbox on the bottom … so for what fighter ???
Deino
