I thin both other answers clearly explained You the reasons … if You do not want to accept this, then just leave it.

By the way in a very reliably North Korean forum I read that one of these 4 victories was against a nearly blind pilot and the other two against pilots older than 42, so these are “unfair” engagements too, since You do not fight against handicapped people … as such by Your own logic, the F-15 won overall only one engagement and this one surely just by chance and luck! :stupid:

The Chinese do the best they can with the materials they manage to obtain. Purloined materials play a big part in Chinese aircraft design. Lets just say that the J-31 was ‘inspired’ by the F-35.

I think that is undeniable ! … and also ‘inspired’ by the F-22. However it is surely common use to study its potential adversaries to analyse their strong- and weak-points and then to develop something that again is limited or by the own technical capabilities, the own budget, and maybe even slightly different own operational requirements.

As such I’m strongly against this term “copy” in the meaning of a true Xerox-copy (that was mentioned here), since this is simply not possible regardless how many terabytes they might have managed to obtain. If aircraft development would be so easy … all much more types would look “the same” in the meaning of “copies” !

EDIT2; Moar sause. So apparently they have made:

So 14 borts in total already, not bad. Which makes sense, as they have to deliver the last 10 next year.

But is there a reason why they carry different colour schemes ? As far as I understand – but please correct me if I’m wrong – they all will be assigned to the same unit !? … a bit strange it seems ?
