Navy light combat aircraft refused certification
BIG SETBACK :mad::mad:
Oh no, what a pitty !
But actually I don’t understand how such things can happen ???
Deino
No, I really like the Su-35S very much … but I don’t like stupid posts with quotings from unreliable sources – and even more of copy & paste postings which simply say the same that all not even have a minimum understanding in CHinese aviation matters – not that I have it – only to bake the own feeling of being better.
Some on, not the number of sources is important but the reliability of a source alone … and regarding Chinese things esp. rian was wrong more than once.
Deino
so how can we believe that’s accurate? for every link you post, I could post more recent ones that confirm interest

Sorry, but so much stupidity I really can’t understand: ๐ก
On side 1 there’s a quite dubious report from a Russian news-agency and – as You posted – several, numerous … endless stupid copied & pasted reports of simply more or less the same dubious report by several other “sources” (quite funny again from Russia, Korea, Taiwan, .. oh Yes and flight International You forgot !) versus on side 2 an official denial by the CHinese ministry !!!
So please tell me what’s the more reliable side ??? .. but it seems as in regard to Russian & CHina some fan boys still want to believe even if confirmed otherwise since the Russians are always right and always know better. Sorry !
Even Your own highly respected ria.novosty corrects itself ! Just take that link and try google-translation.

Depends on how they manage the legal terms of the deal..China may order 48 and then lo and behold the J-11 clones may end up being upgraded to the Su-35 standards with reverse engineered Su-35 technology.
That is the main reason why they’re looking for the Su-35 anyway, isn’t it? The J-11B isn’t up to par with the Su-30MKI even, so the Su-35 will be a big jump..they want the Irbis and the technology to allow them to lighten the airframe, as well as the 117S. The engine technology to be used for improving the WS-10 maybe?
The reasons for wanting just 48 Su-35s is quite obvious. Russians are surely fully aware of the dangers of this sale, and how this technology will find its way into designs that will compete with their fighters in the future.
Huhu … there’s NO deal, China does not want the Su-35S !!!! … it has already been denied ! see: http://forum.keypublishing.com/showpost.php?p=1866516&postcount=649

Reportedly flew twice today !
China seeks to buy Su-35 and S-400.
presumably not satisfied with latest J-11 and J-10 developments

Seems to be denied ! … “presumably once again a high-quality report from the Russian media” :diablo:

Funny … from Chinese links we get clearer images of Indian aircraft than from Indian blogs ! :diablo:
….
Politics has nothing to with projects
….
Sorry my friend, but that’s thest joke for today !!! ๐
china interestet to buy su-35s
http://the-diplomat.com/flashpoints-blog/2012/03/04/china%E2%80%99s-sukhoi-submission/
Sorry, but that’s quite old and IMO complete BS !!!
What can the Su-35 offerer at a substantially higher cost, what a few more J-11B can’t do at less cost ? … and even more with all these Flankers running off the line at SAC – even if they might be not as capable as this latest Russian version – and the latest developments in line I think the PLAAF has surely enough Flankers operational.
IMO simply some election rumbling, nothing more …

IA inducts its 2nd Brahmos regiment into service.
Impressive … ๐ฎ
Spotted at the latest GE-images from Xian-Yanglian !
Honestly, I don’t understand all that hype of the PAF getting the J-21, the J-21 being the export-J-20 and so on.
As far as I know the PAF is mentioned with no word to be the launch customer or that this type is tailored for the PAF.
As such – IMO:diablo: – it is simply SAC’s attempt to stay in China’s fighter business, maybe even to survive as an independent aircraft developer.
But โฆ if they do it right and manage to get a modern multi-role type into the air, that type could well be some kind of a Chinese-JSF with probably larger orders โ esp. if a carrier-borne version will follow โ than the J-20.
As such โฆ letโs wait and hope.

this is Paralay’s own PS. while conformal weapon bay design looks close to proposed one (overdue with its size of course here – there’s just no enough place between nacelles to put anything in pairs there), pilots would not quite like such ‘nice looking’ intake design – especially on intensive slideslope maneuvers:)
Anyway a nice “what-if” or better what could be esp. in mind of these ongoing rumours that SAC is working on a “Silent Flanker” …
Deino
The Il-76 is a battle tested, tough, reliable aircraft.
The An-70 is none of the above at this point.
Self explanatory.
Yes and that mixed up with politics and other decissions led to the situation we have, but it doesn’t make it the best one since following that logic nover ever a new design will be introduced !;)
Deino
@ JSR !
Honetly You are crazy, foolish and so much in love with the Il-476, I can’t believe !!!:confused: ๐
Do You really think simply adding a new cockpit + some new avionics + a few structural but not aerodynamic chnges make Your “beloved bird” a modern aircrfat that will stay in production for the next 40 years ???
Dream on.
